DE question

Im not sure which board to ask this on. Looking for someone who has donated there embies or used DE would work also and how that all works? Is it like adoption?

My office just briefly mentioned it and said somthing about all the leagal stuff some clinics dont like to go threw. So Im wondering what all that is?

I just want to be more knowledgable about which way to proceed for the future. Thanks

threewish,

Your profile states MF. Do you mean DS not DE?

Are you looking to donate or the opposite?

Oh Im sorry, we are currently going threw our 2 FET using our own embies. But we have 13pn frozen and only using one. If it doesnt take thats it for us we are out of money to try again. So I'm exploring our options as to what to do with the rest. I saw after I posted this another thread about this same subject.

My clinic does do somthing and Im hoping to talk to someone tomorrow about it.

Lots to think about and Id like to know which way I want to go soon.

I saw your post in the other thread. I started it to explore donating embryos should we have some left. Ultimately, you have to do what you feel comfortable with. There is always donating them to science or destroying them if you cannot or decide not to donate them to another couple. Often leaving them frozen is just as good as slow destruction since science cannot guarantee how viable they are over time and for how long.

Also, remember that a contract is not set until all parties sign it, so you can have it amended to your comfort level by your lawyer. That's what I did with the contract I have with the ED agency. We negotiated and finally came to an agreement. Next is the one with the ED, which is separate and this one will also be tailored to what all of us agree to.

I would recommend you seek a lawyer that is familiar with reproductive law in your state when you have made a decision on which way to go.

Good luck
