Faint line on OPK CD15 (same as IUI bb)

Okay, remember I'm new to this. I had a faint line on the test today (lighter than the control line) I'm pretty sure this is not a surge but does it mean that it should be soon? Should I test twice a day to be sure. Today is CD15 when do most people surge? I already have the stuff here at home, I'm so afraid I won't surge and the sample won't last. Remember my RE is out of town so we are playing doctor. This is insane to me, they sent me home with the tank, speculum, cath, and pictures. I can't believe we are going to do this. Oh well. Also do you usually have alot of pain from clomid? I am really sore, so that scares the heck out of me that I have alot of follies. (Also remember Dr. would not monitor).
Thanks for any and all advise on this one.
Bren

OPKs didn't work for me because I have such high LH to begin with (higher baseline that the average woman's level when surging) so mine were ALWAYS positive. But I would say test twice daily. I heard that the afternoon is more likely when you surge. I cannot believe they sent you home with the stuff to do it on your own...IUI? My doc would not allow this. Good luck...my DP would have done it if she were allowed too, though, and I think you'll be just fine. It's so hard to know proper timing without being monitored, so follow all your signs...any discharge? Opks, cramps (but I know you get them anyway with clomid), bbt. I did get sore too with my follies growing. My 3 cycles with OB, she did not monitor them. I was monitored with RE though and had 4-5 follies at insem. Good luck. I hope this is successful for you!

I can't help you with this one Bren, but I'm just wondering how you're doing? Have you done the IUI yet? Would you like me to add your info to the chart?
