Update on my Father...

To those of you that know about my Dad's health issues - devastating stroke 3 years ago and 2 recent heart attacks -- my Dad underwent quadruple bypass yesterday at Presbyterian-Cornell Hospital. The surgery went well and he is currently still under sedation. We did not get an opportunity to speak to the doctors yesterday as they had back-to-back surgeries, but my brother and mother will speak to the surgeon this morning. I hope to learn more this afternoon when I go to visit. I will update more once we learn more from the doctors. Thanks to everyone that has asked about my Dad.

Thank you everyone for keeping my dad in your thoughts and prayers. He has pulled through the operation. He was released from the hospital on Saturday afternoon and is now at home recuperating from his quadruple bypass. My Mom rented a hospital bed for him for the first 2 months to make him comfortable. He has to go to his surgeon for a follow-up in 10 days and also to his PCP as well as Cardiologist. So, for now, it is one day at a time. He needs to keep up his strength and avoid getting pneumonia again or an infection.

Please continue to keep him your thoughts and prayers. Thank you again.

Thank you Tracy for your kind words. My Dad is doing better. It is going to be a while to recover from such an invasive surgery. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you MAV. Each day things get a little better with Dad. His surgeon was happy with his progress thus far and so was his cardiologist. I guess we have to take it one day at a time and the final outcome will be in God's hands.
