e2 level

Okay, I'm trying not to obsess but it's really hard this week. Donor retrieval is Wed. RE nurse just called me to say my lining looks great but my e2 level is only 168. Even still, they're not going to increase my Estrace.

I know I should just trust their office but I still feel the need to ask those who've gone through this. How high was your e2?

Thanks!!!

No, I'm on oral Estrace. RE doesn't want to increase it and I don't understand why!

I would ask him why he doesn't want to increase it? Seems odd? When do you transfer?

Transfer is either Saturday or Monday, depending on how many fertilize. He'll do a 5 day transfer if we have more than 10 fertilized, 3 day with less than 10.

Thanks for talking with me. It's calming me down!

Genie - I had lots of issues with my e2 levels during our donor egg cycle. My clinic wanted me at 300 and I kept going up & down b/w 150-100 They continued to up my estrace and I was at 6 pills (2mg each) per day but still fluctuating. The only thing we decided to change was to take 2 of the 6 pills and place them vaginally by the cervix (one in the am and the other at bedtime). I continued to take the remaining 4 orally. Well - my e2 skyrocketed from 142 to 700's in just 2 days!!!! Might be worth asking if you could do some vaginally.

Just so you know, there's another person on the boards (SammysMom) whose e2 was not quite 200 (or something like that) at transfer and she's about 30w with twins Try not to stress about it. Your RE would never do anything to jeopardize the outcome of this cycle.

Good Luck! ((((HUGS))))

Thanks, Emily's mom, that also eases my mind some. I emailed the RE nurse. Maybe she'll have me do some vaginally. Initially she thought it was the way we'd go but RE didn't. This is our last try and I guess I'm just terrified if it doesn't work, we'll never be parents!
