Am I Going Nuts!!!!!!!!!!

Today I have just been having visions of myself preganant with twins!!!!!!

We are going to see the RE on Tuesday 27/9 and I am looking at starting DIUI in October some time.

The reason I ask this question is that I have a goal sheet in my computer room, and my first goal of getting into nursing school has come true. I am trying very hard not to build my hopes to high but my second goal is to be pg with one ot two babies by December 05.

Do you all think I'm nuts or could this really be possible????????

I think I've finally becomke an IF casualty. I'm INSANE.....lol

Hi Vicky,
I had an IUI 15 days ago and am too nervous to take a HPT! I'm going to wait it out and see if AF comes....now that's insane! But my DH wants to wait and since I'm a nervous wreck, I'm going to be patient.

I had a dream last night that I was pg, but not very pg, and I started to go into labor. It ended up being a girl, healthy but small. I think when we are consumed with thoughts of being pg, they permeate into our every waking (and sleeping!) thought. Go with the visions...positive thinking is always a great thing! I have a very strong sense of intuition and I've learned to latch onto the thoughts and visions and not dismiss them. Just remember to keep it all in perspective and don't bank everything on them...that might really make you insane! lol!

Best of luck!

We seem to have a lot in common. I am currently in my 3rd year of nursing. When do you start your nursing education? I will be starting DIUI this month. I go for an ultrasound tommorrow to see how big my eggs are. Good Luck!

I just graduated from nursing school last year, and started with DIUI following graduation! Good luck with schooling and DIUI!!

I don't know if this had anything to do with my getting pregnant, or if these thoughts were because deep inside I knew I was pregnant, but I visualized everything...the sperm swimming to the eggs, the sperm penetrating the eggs (I always invisioned 2), the two eggs making their way down the fallopian tubes and then implanting into the uterus. At some point, my visions turned to just one embryo developing in my uterus. Crazy as it may seem...I found out I was pregnant, and on ultrasound it showed two sacs and that only one was developing...now I find that crazy after all my visualizing! But I believe that positive thoughts are very important, and if I were to try to have another one after this little guy is born, I would do the exact same thing...stay positive and visualize it working...crazy as it may seem.

Good luck!

Elann, Atl Vol, infertile_frog, and nursechick25 thankyou all very much for your stories. I am so relieved to hear I'm not quite certifiable - Well not yet anyway..lol

I am going to take these as positive signs that it is possible and when I go for my DIUI I will do exactly what you did Nursechick, I am going to imagine it happening!!!!!

Thanks for asking about my Nursing to I have already started, however I am studying to be a division 2 Nurse( In Aus. we have Div 1 & Div 2- Div 1 go to Uni, Div 2 can do hospital traineeships or go to Technical Colleges)

Main difference is to that Div 2 cant deliver babies and hold more specialised areas but that suits me fine now, cos I am doing it part time and I can always further my studies later.

Well enough rambling, I just want to once again say thankyou for your kind words and Atl Vol- keep us posted I cant wait to hear.

Good luck infertile on your upcoming cycle and nursing chick thanks for the advice and visualiusation strategies, I'll give them a try.

Elann, I hope it all goes well and send us some piccies of your trip!!!!!!!!!

Take care all of you

I have to confess! After I gave the advice about "listening to intuition", I went against it and took a HPT! I SWORE I wouldn't and promised DH. Then when I was alone today, I gave in and took one and got the dreaded BFN! I knew I shouldn't have but did it anyway. So, I will follow my own advice next time (which usually I do....I don't know what got into me! Hormones? I'm on Prometirium which makes me a little moody).

Guess I'll see if AF comes within the next week. If so, it's back to the RE I go. If not, I'll call the RE. Prometirium can delay AF sometimes.

Best wishes to everyone!
