2 Inseminations per cycle?

Do most people do 2 inseminations per cycle? I was just wondering what the other RE's do out there. I've been having 2 per cycle. Do you think it really makes a difference?? I wonder if there are percentages out there for 2 inseminations?

HI BC-Crissy,
With all my IUI's they did 2 inseminations..MY dr believed by doing the insemination 2 days in a row gave a better chance of getting preg...I had 1 preg. (ended in misscarriage) by IUI.( i did 4 total) But hope that helps you. I guess all RE's are different but i know here they all do 2...take care..Mary

My RE also did 2, one day apart. He also believed the same as milzie's RE. However, I never got pg this way but that was due to age factor of my eggs...at least that's what I believe.

My RE only did one insemination a month. I took 100 mg of clomid and then the HSG shot - we could actually see the eggs leaving the ovaries so it was guaranteed that I ovulated.

I've never done an IUI before, but my friend has done them for all of her kids & I believe that hers were one time IUI's for each cycle. Good luck!
