How many times DIUI for a BFP??

Hi guys,

As we are due to start DIUI in October I was wondering for all who have taken this route how many times did you try before you got a BFP, and what is the average success rates?

I just want to know so that I can know what to roughly expect.

Hi, first of all...good luck in your upcoming cycle. I pray that you will be one of the ones that gets the BFP on the first cycle. I just completed my third DIUI cycle with no success yet. We are moving on to IVF due to insurance requirements but just wanted to wish you luck and best wishes, keep us updated. Rebecca

I guess I just have to keep positive and hope that I'll be ok and hopefully it wont take too long.

Hi,

It does work....i am living proof..I have one ds#1 who is 5 We did one iui
#2 ds who is 2 also DIUI...With him 2 iuis

#3 edd 3/20/06..2 iuis this time too!
All three are from same donor!
I bought 4vials to start..with ds#2 when we were ttc we bought the last 2.
I have one left....

I was 34 and had pcos... got pregnanton my first, third and fifth tries(m/c twice due to progesterone issue) used clomid, hcg shot for timing and one IUI each cycle.

I was 37 for baby two, used injections and got pregnant on my second attempt.

donor is very successful... i wish you a quick success.

THANKYOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!

I cant express enough just how much I needed those stories I have been going insane this last week with worry of will it work wont it and jsut knowing that it takes roughly 2-3 goes is quite good for my heart to hear.

Once again thankyou sooooooo much I look forward to being preganant soon and being able to share in the joy that both of you ladies have.

Hi goodthingscome,

I am starting DIUI this month. I go in on Sunday for my ultrasound to see how many eggs I have. This is my first time using donor sperm. I am excited and nervous at the same time. DH and I have tried a few IUI's with his sperm but no success. Our RE gives us about a 3% chance of concieving with IUI with our own sperm, which seems pretty unrealistic to us. We also cant afford IVF. Good luck with your up coming cycle.

I was 37 for baby two, used injections and got pregnant on my second attempt. donor is very successful... i wish you a quick success. __________________ 3 years and 15 medicated cycles(clomid, injections, iui's, ivf's, fet, you name it) and 2 angels before finally getting princess 1 (1999) 2 injection cycles for princess 2(2002) Truly miracles!
