Had hoped for a better update ..
Well I guess the good news is that my e2 didn't drop. However, it hasn't increased much either
In the last 6 days at 10mg/day of estradiol it has only gone from 117 to 145 They've upped me to 12mg/day (6mg in the am and 6mg in the pm) and I have to go back in on Saturday. I'm still on the lupron. I haven't heard from the EDC yet regarding our donor but our estimated retrieval is Friday and transfer would be Monday! They want my e2 at 300 for transfer. Unfortunately I'm at the office (and they don't know I'm cycling) so I couldn't ask the gazillion questions that are running through my head right now. I'm not stressing over this (just yet) but I will admit I'm a little worried. I guess I'll be updating again on Saturday or perhaps Friday if my donor goes to retrieval. I pray to God that she's at least doing well (which of course I don't know that to be true but I am hoping).

Ellen, I'm sorry your E2 isn't rising as much as you had hoped. My E2 wasn't even at 200 when I had my transfer, but my lining was good. After you stop lupron your E2 should rise. I look forward to reading the retrieval results!

Hi Sammy'sMom. I remember you saying you weren't quite 200 at transfer. What form of estrogen were you using? What was your lining? I'm b/w an 8 and a 9 with the triple layer. They tell me my lining's fine so that's a good thing. Do you recall how far before transfer you stopped the lupron? What dose were you on? For some reason I thought I'd stop lupron about now. I just left the EDC a message to see if Friday is still looking like retrieval day. She's been away at a conference so I'm not sure when she'll get back to me. I would have hoped they would have called me by now if our donor was triggering tonight so I guess I should know something by tomorrow.
Thanks again for your support.

I was only on 10 amps of lupron until my donor triggered. I was on 4mg of estrogen pills at the time of retrieval and it was increased to 6 mg 5 days after transfer because it was under 150. At the time of my beta it was still low so they added a patch. 20 days after my transfer is was at 420, so that shows even after implantation and tons of estrogen, it wasn't that high even then but I was still successful. My lining though was over 9 and triple line at the time of transfer. I think you will be alright and will most likely be like me and have to keep increasing until they get you where they want you. I don't think it should hamper your transfer though. Good luck!

Gosh, I'm sorry to hear your E2 hasn't risen much.
SammysMom has a good success story so try not to worry. I hope it does go up though before your transfer. I can't believe r/t might be on Friday! Wow! Atleast your lining is still nice and thick! I will be watching for your updates...good luck.

Ellen,
I'm so sorry you didn't get a more resounding hopeful update. However, I just wanted to let you know that my clinic never even checked my E2 levels. They said that my lining was great and that turns out to be the most important thing in their eyes. I would think that if your lining is okay, then you shouldn't worry too much (but then, what do I know?). Also, my last lupron shot (10 U) was the day before ER. I would double check with them on this one. Hoping that Friday brings great news on all counts! Hugs, Rhea |
