Cool Transfer update

The transfer today of our lone little embie went great! I had my regular RE and the same fantastic ultrasound technician as last time so everything went smoothly.

We can't help thinking how different things might be now if we had had that same team for the transfer of the lone embie that made it through PGD with my own eggs last fall (a different RE and a very different u/s tech; cramping, bleeding, uncertainty, loss of confidence, etc). Oh well, not much using in dwelling on that. And the same great team last time with two perfect DE embies was a BFN, so go figure...

It may not work out for us, but at least we won't be ending our treatment with a bad taste in our mouths, so to speak.

So, now I start my 2ww. I am not staying on strict bedrest, but trying to take it really easy. I was in bed most of the afternoon and I'll go back there shortly. I'm taking tomorrow off of work too, to just relax and stay in bed most of the day. A good chance to catch up on some reading.

Good luck tomorrow Ellen, and good luck to everyone else who's coming up...

I'll be lurking, but probably not posting too much, as I'll be trying to keep my mind distracted with other things.

Hilde

Excellent, Hilde!

So glad to hear your embie survived the thaw and that you feel good about the whole process. It sounds like you've got a good plan for your 2ww. Try not to think about it! What day is your beta though, we need to know when to check on you?

Sounds like a great transfer report! Glad to hear it all went smoothly. I think it's good that you took an extra day off from work to lounge around. After all you've been through you deserve an extra day of rest

Sticky thought and Babydust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and thanks so much for wishing me luck. My lining is still holding so we just need to see if my e2 #s are cooperating this time. Thanks again.

My beta is to be on 6/23, I believe. I need to double-check the sheet they gave me, but that makes sense since it was a 6day embie. I'll probably cave and do HPTs towards the end of the wait....

Hilde,

I have a friend who is the mommy of a beautiful daughter from one embie in a FET. It does happen!

You will be in my thoughts. Take care of yourself.
