Less than we'd hoped for...

But still in the running (that's me trying to stay positive).

We have 6 eggs.

Tomorrow is fert report.

I keep telling myself, they are not my eggs, they are not my eggs....

(Karen, I think I need your stories again....)

Rhea

Rhea,

I'm sorry it is less than you hoped for but remember you want quality over quanity. I so remember when my donor went in for r/t and we had a 25 follie count...I was hoping to get both quality/quanity but when we got the call they only were able to r/t 9. I was so upset and scared that I would not have any frozen. Luckily 8 survived to day 3 and all were high quality and 8 celled, I'm now pg! It can happen! And Rhea...those are "YOUR" EGGS!

I'm sending you positive thoughts that all 6 will fertilize and make it to your transfer day! Are you doing a 3 day or 5 day transfer? Stay positive!

Oh Sunshine. I'm sorry the count was less than you hoped for. I hope Karen's stories bring you some comfort and encouragement. We all go into this not only hoping .. but actually expecting both QUALITY and QUANTITY!!! And when it doesn't meet our expections we're left with disappointment. This whole process is an emotional rollercoaster ride from h e double hockey sticks I like the fact that you're trying to stay positive (even if you still need some convincing). You'll be in my thoughts and prayers tonight. Thinking excellent fert results for you tomorrow. Keep us posted.

I meant to update earlier.... Get this.

The coordinator called me back this evening and asked if I spoke to the doctor/what he told me. Turns out he mixed up. I really have 14 eggs (you are SO right 50, they are mine-ours)! I was SO happy. Of course I still know that I would have had a good chance with 6 (that many people get pg with less). But I feel a little more in a comfort zone now.

Thanks for your thoughts...

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG - that's awesome. What a relief! I can't believe they'd have a mixup like that. I knew there was something I had forgot to say as well. As 50/50 said, and you agree now, those are YOUR eggs!!!

Now I really can't wait for that fert report. I bet you're going to get great news again

I guess that's the kind of mix-up we should all hope for. I'll keep lurking to see your fert report. I hope it goes well!
