Our cycle is delayed ..

My clinic just called to let me know that they are going to have us hold off for a few more days. I guess our donors ovaries aren't settling down quite like they should. They are going to check her again on Monday and let us know then. I'd be lying if I didn't tell you I wasn't disappointed .. but in the end a few days isn't going to make a heck of a difference. I just hope her ovaries get some rest soon because they are going to be busy, busy, busy very soon!

Just thought I'd let you all know. Now I guess it's a good thing I didn't book our mini-vac yet for after the transfer. I'm also waiting for dh to make sure he can get out of his business trip for the 20th & 21st b/c that's when we'd now be transferring if she's okay to start stims on Monday. I keep repeating to myself - "everything will be just fine" .. "everything will be just fine".

I'm sorry to hear the news. Was expecting them to delay cuz of your levels not your donors. But like you said in the end a few days isn't going to make much diff. I hope your DH can get out of his bus trip. Well I guess you have a few more days of getting your E2 up! Everything happens for a reason.

Keep us posted on what happens! Take care!

I know. I was totally unprepared for a delay for which I wasn't the cause You are right, everything happens for a reason. Did I mention that I'll also be at morning clinic on Monday? hmmmmmm Just wonder if I'll catch a glimpse of her this time I seriously doubt it but I can dream, right? Speaking of which, I totally wasted my acupuncture treatment today. I went in and ended up Not because the cycle is delayed but b/c of these issues I have with the anonymous program I'm pathetic. He told me I really need to de-stress. Hopefully he dismissed my as hormone related I really felt a lot better getting it off my chest (to someone other than here at FT) but I still find myself thinking about it alot

Oh, dh should know early next week if he's out of that business trip. But he has a business trip the following week which he said he definately can't get out of. So I hope & pray our donor doesn't need an extra week of lupron.

Ohhhh...Ellen. I'm so sorry you are so upset. If it really is bothering you this much would you consider postponing and looking for a known donor? I know this is prob not an option?

If it helps you could start a journal to her while you cycle...kinda like you are having a conversation with her. Maybe it might make you feel some closeness to her? And perhaps later when you get pg give it to her and see what happens? Just a thought. If anything it might help you work out the anonymity issues.

I am thinking of you and truely hoping that you can overcome these feelings...I'm sure that you will. Think of the ultimate goal...your child and stay focused on that.

Take care,

Ellen,

My RE delayed my transfer so that he could do it himself. I was worried that my body would be confused because it was "on hold". Turns out it was fine. The extra days could really help you to get ready, so don't worry about the delay.

Ellen - Sorry to hear that your cycle is being held off for a few days. HOpefully, all will go well for your donor when she goes in today. I know you wanted to get this cycle going, but I guess a few more days won't hurt. How are you doing otherwise?
