Hildes, how are you doing?

Hi Hildes,

I haven't seen a post from you lately and wondering if your E2 ever went up? Did you have your transfer already? Hope all is well with you!

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been lurking but trying not to obsess and I've mostly been just waiting. But, yes indeedy, E2 did finally go down and then now it's on its way back up!

Nurse just called with results from this morning as a matter of fact, and E2 is 163 and the lining is 7 with 5 layers. I am now on 3mg estrace twice daily and 5 units of lupron (different protocol this time; no patches and the estrace is orally instead of vaginally - Yay!). I go back again on 6/7 for b/w and u/s. If all goes well then, I'll still be on track for a transfer on 6/13! That's assuming it thaws..... Nurse says they have 90% success with thawing so she said she's not worried. I am, though.... Time will tell...

Thanks for asking. Have a great weekend!

Hilde

I'll be thinking of you next week and hope that all goes well. DEFET's are a good thing!

Thanks for all the support - you guys are the greatest!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the thaw now. But in general, I'm trying to prepare myself for bad news. I just have a feeling that this is not meant to be; and I'll be alright.

I'm trying to put a positive spin on things. Since this is the end of the road for us, I'm thinking about having a little party if this cycle is negative: an "end of treatment" party. No more pills, patches, shots, blood tests, ultrasounds, pee sticks..... Or I could call it a celebration of our family of three...

I'm also thinking about getting a tattoo of bleeding hearts (the flowers, not anything gory) or hearts with wings, one for each of our angels... I'm looking forward to closure on the whole issue, as you can tell.

At any rate, time will tell.

Thanks again, for asking and caring.
Hilde

Oh Hilde. Your post mad me I'm hoping this last embie not only survives the thaw but finds a nice cushy spot in your lining to call his/her home for the next 9 months. I hope your little "party" doesn't actually take place, but I like your "spin" on things. Wishing you tons of luck. Please keep us posted.
