I have good news!!!! (pg ment)

My doctor let me come in right away, he did an u/s on me and we saw a sac/yolk and saw the heartbeat (130) too! I am so thankful that nothing happened. I have heard of others bleeding and then going on to have normal pregnancies but when it happens to you all rational thinking goes flying out the door.

I had my acupunturist appt right after and he stuck some needles in my big toe to help stop the bleeding. It did not feel so wonderful but I'll try anything at this point.

Thank you all for your support and kind words!

OMG - I'm so relieved. I can't tell you how many times I've popped onto this board to check for your update. Thank you God!!!! I'm so glad you got to see that all is well and the heartbeat too. That must have been exciting to see after such a stressful morning. Was your dh able to go with you? Ouch - the needle in the big toe does not sound fun at all I don't know about you, but there's one spot on the top of my foot near the big toe that I cringe every time my acu does it. Not only does he stick it in - but he twists it What we don't do to get and stay pg

So, will you be seeing your little one again on Friday? Thanks for updating so quickly and I'm glad to see such great news!!!

Thanks Deeja and Ellen!

I am so thankful! I won't have another appt until next wed now. DH was there with me...he was so tearful (we both were) when the doctor said there was a heartbeat. We couldn't believe it cuz we really thought it was over.

Ellen-I cringe on that same spot too, he twists mine in too.

Thanks again for all the support girls!

Hi I am a lurker here mostly, I do donor sperm. Anyway I am also a nurse and work Labour and Birth. One of the doctors has a great way of explaining why so much bleeding happens sometimes in the first trimester. Some people like to hear the explanation and some don't....if you want to know, I will check this post later.

Have a happy healthy nine months.

50/50 I'm so happy that everything turned out great. It's probably the hormones because I had spotting throughout the first 9 weeks, and had a scare like you once. When I stopped the PIO shots, there was no more spotting. The hormones keep your uterus cushy and nourished for the embryo, so the more there is (tissue), the more likely there probably will be some bleeding. Now that you've seen the h/b your more likely to carry to term than not. Take care of yourself and your baby.

50/50 - I just got back from my lunch hour at work and was so relieved when I checked in to see how you were doing! Did your RE give you any clue as to why you may be bleeding? Has it subsided any since early this morning? I am so glad you saw the little bean and a . That is a good sign. I know both you and DH must be relieved. I am sure it was a nerve-wracking few hours there. Did your RE put you on bedrest? It most likely should help with the bleeding.

I am so happy you did not M/C. I am keeping you, DH and your little one in my thoughts and prayers. :

50/50.....

I am so relieved to hear the good news that your little bean is nestled in right where he/she should be and has a beautiful heart beat.......I know how scary it can feel, particularly when as you said, you have done so much to help this happen, achieved it and the thought that something could be wrong is just so overwhelming......thank goodness all is well.

Take care of yourself....I would definitely take it easy for a few days or at least until the bleeding subsides.

Hugs.

Thank you all for such warm and sincere posts! I feel very blessed to have you all as my cyber friends!

My RE did not know why I bled but did mention that 50-75% of pregnancies have bleeding, however not as much as mine was. I only had that morning epsiode at 4 am then nothing after that, but light discharge. My RE did tell me that at this stage if I m/c I would have seen gray matter.

Beth- thank you and yes I would like to hear what your doctor has told you. FYI this was not just spotting it was a "flow" almost like AF type with clotting, bright red, sorry TMI.

Thanks again everyone!
