DIUI - How long does it take to see if it worked?

Hello
This question is kind of stupid but I just want to know what other people have done.
I had a DIUI on Thursday 05-26-05 and was wonder how long it will be until I can take a pregnancy test. I know this sounds really stupid but the doctor said 2 weeks. So if I do not start my period 2 weeks from last Thursday do I take a home pregnancy test? I used Clomid 100mg and the trigger shot HSG for ovulation. My periods in the past have been very irregular. I am going to email my doctor today but wanted your girls opinions too!

Hi,

The earlist + I got was 7 dpiui.......This was with #2....with #1 I waited the two weeks and did the test the RE gave me.....but she no longer gives a test. My IUI was Sunday....I will wait at least a week! Good luck! :stickyvib

Since you had an HCG shot I would wait about 9 days to test. And then I'd be using a very sensitive test (one that detects 20 mIU of HCG). If you test too early you could get a ++ result from the HCG shot. By 9 days it should be out of your system. Good luck :stickyvib :stickyvib :stickyvib !
