Broke down and did HPT

8dp5dt and negative on evil p. stick
I know I am silly for taking it and thinking of it so soon..but, I read
on a web site of one girl that got a positive on this day and that sent me on the bad journey......this would be like 10dp3dt if it was a 3 day transfer, right?...I have surely seen positives on that.
Now, of course, I feel like all my symptons of being pg are gone....this is enougth to make anyone crazy!
Just thought I would let you all know I was weak....my beta test is Friday.....5 more long days.

We have all been there! Just did not want you to beat yourself up for testing!

The evil HPT are too "iffy" so soon after your transfer. Hoping you get a BFP on Friday!

Gayle- It is hard to refrain from doing those darn things! I'm sorry it's negative but don't give up yet. You are right though it would have been a 10dp3dt. I can't believe you have to wait that long for your beta (13dp5dt)? Gosh the waiting is so hard. Don't give up, there have been postings with negative HPTs and positive betas. I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you!

How many days after your transfer did they do the bloodtest?
I thought everyone had to wait close to 14 days, hence 2ww?
I am confused now?
Was it 10dp3dt when you got a +?
I still have two more tests...I am hoping for better results in the a.m. :-)
Can't stop now.

Gayle,
I'm sorry that you couldn't hold out. Those stupid little tests can certainly send us over the edge. Please, please, don't give up yet because I have seen more than enough ladies get a BFN on the stupid little hpt even as last as the morning of their beta, only to hear that their beta is indeed quite positive!! I remember someone who was pregnant with TRIPLETS, who got a negative hpt the morning of her beta, had a very large number, went home later that day & STILL got a negative hpt!!!

It's not over until the beta says so, so just hold tight these last few days!!

Wow, you sent that when I needed it most!
I am feeling so blue.....and I know better! I have one test left that I will take
in the a.m. and no matter what I will NOT buy anymore and wait until my test on
friday...if I don't I will never get work done and my dh will pack up and leave :-)
I am one big teardrop!

Definately don't give up hope. In fact there was someone on the IVF board the other day that was all upset because all the hpts were negative. The very next day her beta came in at 290!

My RE is like yours and does beta at 2 weeks post transfer

HCG can usually be detected in blood by 12dpo (or 7dp5dt or 11dp3dt). It stinks you have to wait until Friday. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping those nasty hpts were wrong!!!

I got my beta test on 11dp3dt, usually my RE does it at 12dp. I think most 5dt go in earlier than 3dt since they are 2 days ahead. I got a negative HPT at 9dpt and ++ at 10dpt. Are you using first morning urine? What brand are you using?

I wouldn't give up hope yet! Many women have gotten negs on HPTs and still have gotten postive betas!

Thanx Emily's Mom & 50/50 for positive thoughts.
I have one test left and will take it in the a.m. and regardless
of the results I am waiting for the beta after that... when I do a hpt
all I can think about all day long is the results and it makes me so unproductive
and weepy!
soooo for everyone's sake that has to be around me this week I will just hold out
after tomorrow :-)
Will write in the a.m. with results....the only thing is ....I usually wake up around
2:30 a.m. to go to the rest room...don't make it all night any more.....
so it was only about 3 hours of holding it this a.m. ( I woke up again around 5:00ish
and could not wait any longer)
I will try to make sure it is at least 4 hours in the a.m.

Gayle,
I wouldn't take it unless you do have 4 hours of holding. You are at such an early stage right now it might not even read it again. If you wake up at 2:30 again...use that sample if it has been 4 hours. That is what I did...I think I went to the bathroom last at around 9pm, went to bed and woke up to go the bathroom at 1 am...that's when I took it.
