Fert Report

Hi ladies,
I got 12 eggs.....9 fertilized all good size and looking good.
I am on hold for my doc now, the nurse called and gave me the
good news but I would like to hear what he has to say as well.
I will find out tomorrow a.m. as to if it will be day 3 or possibly day
5 transfer....We made it this time at least this far...!
Will fill you in when I hear more.
Gayle

Gayle - this is wonderful news. I'm so happy for you. And very excited to hear about your upcoming transfer. This must be a huge relief for you after getting no eggs last time. I've got my fingers crossed that all 9 continue to grow & divide.

I'm curious - what's your preference - 3day or 5day?

Congrats!

Gayle - That is great news!!!!

Keep us posted as to date of transfer. I hope the little embies will all be fighters and stick it out so that you have plenty to freeze. Good luck.

Ellen

I am not sure about day 3 or 5 transfer...I was told it is usually
day 3 and I am schedule accordingly...however, they will let me know
tomorrow if it will change to day 5...I was told that if all are good and they
can not choose the 2 best then it could go to day 5, but if 2 are seeming stronger than others then day 3......this is the furthest I have ever gotten
with this so I am not sure what to expect now.

I was told by the RE is CA there is no difference in the success rates when you compare 3 day vs 5 day... at least for their clinic. It's not like by using a 5 day embryo you have a better chance of getting pregnant. Both our pregnancies (twin... but m/c... and DS... were from transfers of 3- 3 day embryos) I think sometimes it's just luck ~ we did not have any pregnacies from blastocysts. Also 10 and under eggs is borderline for trying to go to blasts. We were told if it was under 10 eggs then do 3 day but if you had over 10 eggs you had enough eggs to chance them going to blastocyst. Good luck!!!
