Help me with these numbers is the counts good or bad?

I went yesterday for my 2nd iui. (They did the trigger today also) Odd I know, anyway, we are using donor sperm, so I ask the lab for a copy and have a list of numbers, but don't know if they're good or bad or what...hoping you can help,

Volume - 0.5 ml
Sperm Density (million/ml) - 73.3
Total Sperm count (million) - 36.7
Total Active Sperm (million) - 13.6
Progressive Motility - 37%

(there are some other numbers too, don't know if they're important...this was after it was washed and iui ready.)

Also I was trying to pay attention to the ultrasound and get the size of follies. I only had 2 (don't know if it's good or bad) My husband said the monitor said 25 I thought it said 35??? The doctor didn't tell us, so we were trying to figure it out ourselves. The other follies was 16 ???

Tell me if any of these numbers are good or bad...

I would just outright ask the technician or the RE what the ultrasound showed. Our RE (he was just a 1 person practice) had the technician do reports and I would get copies of mine. It would have the date, total number of follicles, number of follicles on each side... left and right, and it would have the size of the follicles... ie. 11 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm, etc... You are paying for these ultrasounds so you have the right to know!!!! 25 follicles would mean you are likely ready to trigger and your E2 is pretty high? Or 25 could mean there is a lead or large follicle 25 mm? 18 mm is considered mature.

Sounds like you're trying to determine size of follicles. Some clinics measure 1 dimension, others 2 dimensions and divide by 2, others 3 dimensions and divide by 3. To determine trigger, the RE's use the follicle size and also e2 or lh b/w results. If you saw something that said 25 and 16 you probably have 2 follicles, with both of them being potentially good targets. Follicles don't get to a 35, at least I've never seen that. Usually anything over 20 raises flags for imminent ovulation.

I'm a bit confused by the timing though. Did you have your trigger and then the IUI insem on the same day? If so, are you going to have another insem 24 hours later?

MAV - no RE would trigger and do an IUI insem with 25 follicles. Too too much of a risk.

No, the size was 25, there were only 2 on the screen. He did do the insemination and trigger...same day with no second one 24 hours later. Everyone on here says that's strange..I expressed to them that I'd never heard of it, and they said that it was fine? Who knows. I'm really interested to find out if the sperm counts were good??
