Thanks for PIO advice

I want to thank everyone for their advice. The shot last night was sooooooo much better. DH was pinching the skin, going too slow, not changing the needle, not putting it in deep enough - you name it, he was doing it wrong. Thanks again.

Ugh....he sure was doing it all wrong, wasn't he?! WEll, at least he got the right info now & hopefully they'll go much easier from here on out!! I give my mom a vitamin B shot every week & she said that I'm better than the nurses!! Of course I am, I've had more shots than most of those nurses have, I'm sure!! One thing she said that I do differently, is that the nurses pinch the skin, where I spread the skin far apart between my thumb & index fingers. I think holding the skin taught is part of the success in them not being as uncomfortable. (at least for my mom's type of shots!!)

Good luck! May your future be filled with many weeks more of PIO!!!

Karen
