Arrow DS questions & any LI rec's??

hey ladies, jumping over once again from the adoption BB's. I posted a little bit of my story a short while ago...but in the nutshell....my dh has Non-obstructive azoospermia & we went the IVF w/ TESE route several years ago. The treatment failed....& we decided to move onto adoption. Well, back in the fall we had a failed adoption, when a potential birthmother changed her mind at the birth.
So that leads me to where we are now. I still can't get past my feelings of wanting to be prg & experience everything that goes along w/ being prg etc. I feel I need to be more in control & to know no one can take the baby away from us. I asked my dh if he'd be interested in pursuing diui's, & he said...."I just want to be a father...& it doesn't really matter how, anymore." Those were the words I wanted to hear! So I think we will be trying diui's late April-early May...
For our IVF we went to Cornell & it's not necessary or feasable for us to travel there for IUI's. So anyone have any Long Island clinic recommendations?? I've heard Kreiner IVF is good...haven't really heard much about LI-IVF...any info would be great!

Thanks a million everyone!

~Crissy

That's great news that your DH just wants to be a father and it doesn't matter how. There are so many options to chose from. I wish I had some info on DIUI. Maybe some others will see this and have a recommendation on a clinic. Good luck!

Crissy,
I know how you feel. We have one adopted son (8 yrs) old now. I also wanted another child, but wanted to try alternatives before another adoption. We were successful with DIUI. Our dd is now 5 years old!!! Good luck!!!!
PS I often worried about having one adopted and giving birth to the other. I worried about my ds having feelings of being "left out". However, it is my dd who sometimes gets upset b/c she doesn't have 2 mothers (birthmom and me).

I use LI IVF, cannot tell you my results yet as I am in the 2ww. I have been going there for years as my monitoring RE. I use Dr. Daniel Kenigsberg. I have also met with Dr. Madaline Drosch she is very nice as well. Dr K is a very bright man, he's to the point and direct. Dr. D is more talkative and warm. They both have the knowledge.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Chrissy- I totally felt for you when I read your story. My husband has the same diagnosis and we also did IVF with the TESE procedure. Unfortuantely I overstimulated and it seemed to be our downfall when they retrieved 36 eggs. All 3 FET's didn't work. We moved on to adoption and were blessed with our dear sweet son, whom we absolutely ADORE!!! We are now back to baby #2 and we are going to try diui before adopting for the very reasons that you talked about. I really would love to experience pregnancy and my husband is totally on board and excited about doing donor iui. Good luck to you. I am now on my second iui cycle. I just had the insem. yesturday and everything went well so we'll see. bdelg3
