Thoughts on DS, pls

It seems DH has some issues w/ fertilization - After 4 IVFs and poor fertilization, using DE, it seems we are at a stopping poiint. We have "over" exhausted our savings, even thought our RE says we can get pg w/ DH's sperm, it hasn't happened. Now considering DS. DS seems a bit more concerning to me because of how easy it is to get; how well are donor screened, etc. Any of you have success with both DE & DS?

Just seems if we want a baby any time soon, this might be the way to go.

Thanks for any input you might have.

Hi there,

I'll be starting my first DS/DE cycle in early April. I'll be interested to see any others out there using both DS/DE.

We purchased our DS from Calif Cyro seems like they do a lot of thorough screening and some of the donors have baby photos to see as well as audio. As you can prob tell by the cost difference in aquiring DS and DE..there is not as much risk involved for DS as DE such as shots, surgery, anastesia, etc.... They also can keep more anonymity because they are not required to give current photos of themselves whereas most DE's are requested to do so.

I am just grateful we were able to find both donors that we were both happy with.

Best of luck to you!
