Transfer update

Well the transfer went smoothly. They transferred 2 Grade A embryos. Out of the 19 fertilized embies, 11 made it to day 5, and we hope that the 9 embies left will be good enough to freeze. That is all they told me other than my chances are between 65-70%. I am now in the 2ww and beta is scheduled for 3/21. I am to go in to the clinic for a progesterone check on Monday morning. They only had me rest in recovery for 25 minutes or so. That struck me odd as my previous clinic required me to rest for over 1 1/2 hours before they released me home. I don't know if it makes a difference or not.

Instead of just taking it easy as they told me to do, I have decided that I am doing bedrest like my previous clinic always had me do. DD is having a sleepover at her grandma house for the weekend and coming home tomorrow night. I may even take the day off of work on Monday for good measure. They told me that if implantation were to occur it would be in the next 24 to 36 hours. I figured I have close to $50,000 invested in this one cycle and don't want to take cany chances and jeopardize anything.

Wish me luck! :stickyvib

Lanae- I was hoping to see a post from you today! You and your transfer have been on mind. I am so happy that the transfer went well and that is so awesome you have 9 embies to possibly freeze!

Atleast with DE the odds are on your side...65-70% is pretty great! I can hardly wait to hear how your beta goes!

Good luck to you and take it easy!

p.s. I only rested 1 hour after transfer for my 2nd ivf and only 1/2 hr for my 3rd ivf.

Woohoo!!! Sounds like you had a great transfer. And wow, possibly 9 blasts to freeze. Holy cow, that's awesome. I think you're smart to do bedrest. This is a huge investment and if you are able to do it, then why not, right?

Did they tell you when your beta will be? I've got my fingers, toes, eyes, arms, & legs crossed for you. Looking forward to congratulating you on a successful cycle in the very near future.

Ellen

THats' amazing that the embies are so numerous, healthy and thriving hang in there, get you rest and keep us posted.

My clinic has you rest for an hour and ask that if you are fro out of town you spend the night and rest 24-36 hours.

Take care and many sticky thoughts!

Yes, the next 24-36 hours is crucial. It is the time that I heard things implant. And don't worry about anything falling out... the RE in CO, with the high stats, who helped our SM get pg and ultimately resulted in our miracle DS, said "The uterus is like peanut butter!" I will never forget those comforting words. I was thinking if SM squats, sits, goes to the bathroom, that the embryos would fall out-LOL! So far from the truth. If the blastocysts are viable and sounds like they are then they are freezable!!!Thinking sticky thoughts for you.

I am so glad to hear that the transfer went well! I definitely recommend taking some extra time. My RE also said to only take it easy, but I put myself on bedrest. I can't wait to hear your good news!!! :stickyvib :stickyvib
