donor sperm centers in ohio

Hi ladies,

This might seem strange. I have been an egg donor twice. It was one of the greatest things I have done in my life. My husband would like to be a sperm donor as well. How do we start researching that? It was easy when I was the donor, my IVF clinic handled everything. I can't seem to find a directory of sperm banks though.

Also what are you looking for in a sperm donor?

Thanks you.

Love

Deana

PS: is this something he can do while we are still building our family or should we wait until we are done?

I do not know any centers in Ohio - Sorry!

I think he needs to wait until you are done. I believe the donors need to give sperm once a week for 6 months and abstain from sex for days before they donate. But it is worth checking in for now.

Your DH is doing a great thing!

Sorry - did not see the question about what I am looking for in a donor. My DH and I are doing this right now.

We want someone who resembles DH - same hair color, eye color, height, build. We also want someone we could see ourself being friends with. We want someone we could respect.

Of course, DH would not mind if thr donor played in the NBA either! lol

I just did a google search on "sperm donor bank ohio" and found this one of several links:

Looks like there is one in Columbus OH. You might also want to check with your RE's office. Perhaps they can give you more places to look too!
