On pins and needles re: Donor
I'm so worried that our cycle will be cancelled. My concern is that her E2 was high at baseline. Her first monitoring didn't show any follies, but that's normal enough. She was due for u/s this morning but is ill, so will go in tomorrow a.m. I'm just so nervous that she may not stim well and the cycle will be cancelled. Then we'd probably have to start over and find a new donor - more time, more money, etc....
I know there's no point in worrying when I don't have the info, but I can't help myself. I'm worried silly. I can handle a negative at this point, but a cancellation would be REALLY hard to swallow. Just venting.... Hilde

Oh Hilde..........
Your concerns are very normal. I would have them too. It may just be too soon to start to think that the cycle is over though. Hopefully the donor will feel better tomorrow, go in for monitoring and things will look better. I know you can't help but worry after having invested so much time and money. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that all will be ok.
Love, Laenae

I saw that your donor was to have her retrieval today. How did it go? I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. Hilde (I'm 44 too)

Laenae - I just read your post. I agree - sounds weird, but still great!

hi Hilde...
Thanks for your reply. It was an experience, but a good one. I am glad I got to see her in the flesh.
I am sitting here on pins and needles wondering how it went. I will know the fertilization results tomorrow morning. My nurse coordinator told me that is when she will first find out how it went. So, as soon as she knows... I will know. It sure is driving me nuts because it is something I have no control over. Will keep you posted. Please update me on your situation. I am praying for you. Love, Laenae
