question about retrival

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering what to expect with my retrival? I am going to be a doner and all I've read from the books and all don't really tell you what to expect to feel. I'm hoping some of you can tell me how long, about, I'd really need to take off work. I start my meds next week, I know I'll feel bloated and all, but I am so excited about this!!! Thanks for any info!!

Good luck Cheryl....

It takes a special person to do what you are doing and I commend you for giving of yourself and helping someone achieve their dreams of having a family.

As for retrieval, in all my IVFs, I felt a bit of soreness around the ovaries, but that subsided after a few hours. I did spot a couple of days afterwards, as well. As for the amount of time being off for retrieval, my doctor said that I could go to work the same day if I felt up to it, but I usually took off the day.

I wish you all the best.

Love,
Laenae
