Two different REs emphatically told us to choose a proven donor, if this
helps any. However, we're not sure why other than they know how they
respond to the drugs. Seems to us, there's a bit of luck involved, too.

We're puzzled by our potential donor's stats.
She's donated 4 times but we only have 1 reported pregnancy and no
info on whether the baby was healthy, etc.

What do you make of that?

We have 2 potential donors right now: the one I mention above and one who is 21 and never done it before. Not sure which way to go....

We had it narrowed down to 4, 3 proven and one unproven 21 year old. I felt like I wanted to scream "just give me the one that will bring me a baby!!" In the end we just went with our gut (donated twice, 2 pos pg tests).

I guess in your case I might be a little wary of 4 donations with only one pg. It is of course true that the recipient women could have other issues or just bad luck. There is no way to know. The unproven donor is young which alone puts her in good odds to produce healthy eggs, but no stim history to go on. The only answer here is to evaluate the risks and go with the one you feel most comfortable with.

Everyone else is right, no matter how much information you try to bring into the equation, it is still a crapshoot.

Best of luck making the right decision for you.
