Laws change state by state and over time. Lawyers won't let you sign dated and void material and will make you understand what the un- and -certainties are. Their retainer a drop in the bucket when it's all said and done considering all the other expenses. Also, after everything I have to go through, the last thing I would want is for a bad contract to undo it all.
