retrival

Hi to anyone who had read my earlier posts. My retrival was done yesterday, and everything went well. I was nervous going into it, but the whole process was easy and when I woke up I was fine. I had a little cramping but thats all. I'm not sure how many follicles they got, but hopefully it's enough for the woman I dontaed my eggs to have a successful pregnancy. Anyway thats all, I just wanted to let everyone know how it went. Thanks.

Woohoooo!!!! Way to go mshappy!! You've just done the most wonderful thing!! Didn't the clinic tell you how many eggs they retrieved? I would think they'd tell you that, but nothing else. You've just given someone the chance to make all of their hopes & dreams come true!!

<--- for you!!

Karen

Fantastic......

It takes a special person to do what you have done, MsHappy. You have given someone hope and the start for making their family dreams come true. Hoping the experience for you was not too painful physically. I hope the recipient couple is blessed with a child(ren) and you are rewarded a hundred fold with the knowledge that you have contributed to their happiness. God bless.

Love,

Laenae

Good for you!!! I'm sure it feels good to follow through on something that you started. I hope your boyfriend is OK with everything too.

He seems to be okay with it....we talked and I left this page up so he could read it, and try to have a better understanding of whats going on. He doesn't want me to do it again, which is fine b.c it is a big time commitment on my part so I'm not sure I want to do it again, but mabye sometime in the future you never know. I had asked the nurse when I woke up how many they got but I was really groggy and think she said I had to ask the clinic how many were actually retrieved, so I want to give them a call in the next day or so just to see.

Excellent news!! I had been hoping there would be an update from you, and I am so glad you had a good experience and can look back on the great and wonderful gift you gave with good feelings!

It just makes my day, hearing all went well and that you gave your generous gift!

Glad you came out ok from the retrieval. I don't know what the clinic's policy is, but I'm pretty sure that anyone can ask for their medical records and "results from an egg retrieval" would be medical records. They may tell you verbally but you can also request the "flow chart" which has your u/s following your follicle growth and probably your hormonal levels and then there should be a separate report of how many eggs retrieved, how many mature/immature, and how many fertilized (don't know if the fertilization would be bordering on the "IP's" records.) Ask and you shall receive!!!!! I have ALL the reports from my 8 egg retrievals. I figured I went through so much for each one... financially, physically, and emotionally that I wanted that piece of paper!!!

Glad things went smoothly for you. I hope the clinic releases the info you want concerning the retrieval!

I'm so glad that things went well. Even if you never donate again, you've given an opportunity to someone that they wouldn't have otherwise had. Good for you!
