I did IVF when I was 46/47 with my own eggs. I lost twins in my last cycle, I was 47.4 yrs of age.

My grandmother was 46 when she had my dad in 1927, her 10th child. I am so glad she did!!

It's unusual for a 47 year old but entirely possible. 57, definitely donor eggs or embryos!!!

Four children from previous marriage 24,22,20 and 11
One grand daughter Caitlin 3 and her brother Jake born 22/1/05
Four "step" children aged 52, 48, 47 and 42.
Seven "step" grand children aged 24-14.
Male Factor Infertility/maternal age
Three cancelled ivf cycles. One transfer July 2003. BFN
Tried to find embryos for adoption, no success.
Explored international adoption, not possible in our circumstances : ( (as of 3/4/05)
Will pursue fostering.

My aunt had twins(lost one) at 49!! Her other children were all in college. So I could say, yes it is very possible. They do say as you approach menopause that you many times ovulate more than one egg.... congrats to her!!

3 years and 15 medicated cycles(clomid, injections, iui's, ivf's, fet, you name it) and 2 angels before finally getting princess 1 (1999)

2 injection cycles for princess 2(2002)

I think "Anything" is possible. I am 43 and have 16 month old twins from de's. When they were 7 months old, Poof, I got preg with twins with just SEX...I was freaked. I m/c at 12 weeks but "anything" is possible...not likely but certainly possible!
