I agree if this is for an egg donor's compensation this is within the normal range. For our agency, first time donors fees were $5-7,000 and of course for the proven donor with exceptional looks and smarts and health history it went as high as $10,000! I wouldn't go for the $10,000 donor. I think $8,000 was an average fee compensation for an egg donor.

Diana is right; where you are matters. We paid $5000 for an in-house pool. That's just the compensation; the procedure and meds were separate. Northern California bay area. I actually felt our fee was decent since other places around here can charge up more than $10k just for the compensation!

We paid $5000 in donor compensation and another $5-6 for the agency fees. And our donor had never donated before, though she has a child of her own. I wish I had used someone who had donated before, since we only ended up with 3 embies (although that'll be just fine if it works...)
