Agency: A Perfect Match

Hello, my new friends!
Next question: HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER USED "A PERFECT MATCH" TO FIND AN ED? Or, do you know of anyone who has used them?
It's so hard to believe there's no governing body that collects feedback on ED agencies! Would appreciate your experience. Thanks! -Jeanne

PS I need to decide if I'm going to sign the agency contract today or tomorrow. So would appreciate feedback as soon as possible!

We had a good experience using APM. We found our donor through them and she just completed her cycle in January. Good Luck!

I've never heard of them before, but hopefully you'll feel comfortable with your decision & everything will go smoothly for you!

I can't speak specifically about this agency although, I can say I was so glad that we went with an agency over anonymous. I know that there are a lot of good anonymous programs out there and some people prefer it - but meeting our coordinator at the agency was worth it to me. She answered every question and was usually easier to reach than our IVF coordinator! She had been through the whole process herself and was wonderful to work with. Sorry I couldn't offer any insight on APM. Good luck on your journey!

ED contracts

Thanks to all for your well wishes. Thanks to Kay for letting me know of your good experience with APM.

Interesting Q: I've been interviewing attorneys to draft the contract between us and the ED. A fertility attorney just told me on the phone that there's NO REASON FOR A CONTRACT with an anonymous donor! She said by law an anonymous donor automatically forfeits all rights and obligations. She also said I can't have a binding contract if we don't use our real names. Anybody else able to share experience with this?

I have not heard of that, but the contract does cover a lot of "what-if" scenarios like what if she gets sick mid-cycle or doesn't comply with taking the meds the way she's supposed to. I think attorneys that do this a lot have a "boilerplate" template they use so the fees are a relatively small price to pay for the peace of mind.
