We saw and heard the heartbeat at 165 bpm. I measured 7W0D and have a due date of the first week in June.

Bump!

Starting first DE cycle soon and want to know how you ladies are doing?
There seems to be a lot more joy from BFP's than where I use to post, (high FSHers), the odds are really against us there! So we finally decided to use DE and am so excited. Sooo tired of all the failures!!!!

Hi Everyone,

DH and I start our first DE cycle in early February. We are very excited. I do have a question that's been bugging me. My RE has me scheduled for a Endometrial Biopsy. Has anyone ever had one of these? It sounds so very painful. I cried like a baby when I had an HSG and a Colposcopy (sp). Is it similar to either of those? Were you allowed to take pain killers prior to the procedure?

Me 32, DH 34
1st lvf 6/07 BFN
diagnosed with POF 7/07
Due to start DE cycle 2/08

Welcome Dee! Glad to have you here with us!

Welcome EbonyPrncess1!! Glad you're here too!! I've had an Endo Bx- well, they attempted to do one! It did hurt like the dickens, I'll be honest, BUT, they weren't able to get through my cervix & it turns out that the doctor was actually "making his own path to my uterus", so that could be why it was so incredibly painful! I thought I was going to break my DH's hand when the doctor was doing it. I've heard from others that its uncomfortable, but not really horrible. I think I was the exception on the level of pain I felt! They ended up doing a Hysteroscopy on me & did my Endo Bx while I was out for the Hysteroscopy. (thank goodness!)

Ask your RE about giving you something to take before you have your appointment. My RE told me to take some Advil about 1 hour before my appointment, but it didn't do anything for me at all. If you had such a hard time with your HSG, I would definitely ask your RE to give you something stronger than just advising you to take Tylenol or Motrin. And yes, the Endo Bx is something similar to a Colposcopy- they will be removing a piece of the Endometrium with the same type of instrument that they used when they did your Colposcopy.

Be sure to keep us updated on your cycles ladies! I'll add your info to the chart too if you keep me posted!

BC-Donor, That is exactly what I thought. I was trying to decide whether or not my DH should accompany me to this visit to the RE, but now its not optional...Its Mandatory!!! Thank you so much for your advice, at least now I can go in prepared. I have an appointment on this Thursday (1/24) for my initial bloodwork and exam to prepare for my Endo Biopsy. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Good luck to everyone.

Hi I had ET with 2 donor embies from 5 days Blastocyst on 2/9. My Re did not recommended bestrest but I did as a precaution. The only disappointment I had in myself is that I was under stress, worried and cried on and off for the first two days. Then after that I started to mellow down.... Now I'm worried if I was too hard on my body which may hinder the implantation. What are your symptoms? For me, I have slight crampings on and off... I had similiar symptoms which resulted in BFN on the previous IVF with different DE.
