Being an Egg Donor

I was just wondering where I should post.

I am going to be an egg donor for my sister. I just wanted to see if there was a spot for me. Thanks for any info or direction...

This is the donor BB so I'd think you could post here. There is also a surrogacy BB where IM's have used ED's and SM's. I got to both BB's! Welcome!!! And that's a GREAT thing you are doing for your sister!!!

Feel free to post an introduction if you like. I have been through ER/IVF many times and we have also used an ED that has been through ER/IVF.

Welcome to Fertile Thoughts and the Donor BB! You absolutely belong here! Please feel free to post any questions you have. Guaranteed that at least one of us will have either been through what you want to know or at least have seen something posted about it before.

What you are doing for your sister is wonderful. For those of us who cannot have families without a donor, someone like you who is willing to donate is a Godsend.

Thank you all so much for your warm welcome. I am new to this and really don't know where to start. I am 32 years old with 2 boys of my own. My sister has 1 DS through ED from my other sister. I am so excited to able to do this for her. To be able to help her in such a way, I can't even explain how that feels. We both live on Long Island. I have seen her go through heart break and it hurts me to see that. I just pray that this will work and that I produce a lot of healthy egg for her.

Again, thank you all for your warm reception... I have read through a lot of your posts and I will pray for you all as well!!!

Karen, I am a user on the board I was posting to you last week. This is my awesome sister I was mentioning that I would be doing a new cycle with. I gave her this site to post, read up and chat with other donors on. This site has helped me along with my other sister in the past when we did our prior IVF's.

Cheryl, welcome to the world of donors and infertility. I hope you will be enriched with some of the great life stories you will read about. You will also meet a great group of people that put their hearts out on the line for each other. This can also be very emotional at times and this too is all part of infertility. I love you from the bottom of my heart and I am soooooooo proud of you for making this choice to be our donor. The world needs more people like you

I pray we have great success as we begin our journey together as donor and recipient but most important as sisters.
