2nd U/S update (pg ment)

Everything is fine today. We saw the heartbeat, the sac is larger than last week and the doctor said everything is as it should be.

At first, the nurse said that I would be discharged today. I felt like I was graduating, but hadn't finished school yet! Then the doctor said he isn't going to release me until I'm off the estrace and progesterone. He wants me back again in a week, seems a bit much, but I'll appreciate knowing that everything is still OK.

I have another nephew as of Noon today, so it's been a good day all around.

Thanks for all your support!

Oh Kim that's wonderful. I'm actually glad he's not releasing you yet. I think OB's are great but lets face it, an RE is in most cases much more attentive to the "special needs" of IF patients. And what the heck, it's always nice to see your lil bean on that screen!

And congrats too on your new nephew. I hope she had an easy labor & delivery.

I did end up remembering what my other question was for you and it had to do with acupuncture. Did you do it with both DE cycles? How frequently? I just found out today that my RE does recommend it so I'm going to check out the place/person he recommended.

Congrats again. Oh, and I'm sorry you got hit with a bought of MS. But at the same time know that mentally that's a "relief" in feeling everything's okay. I hope it's not too bad.

Ellen

That's so wonderful! I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed for you.

With my ds, my RE kept me until after my cvs was done (~12 weeks). Very reassuring to get those extra u/s that OBs don't usually do...

I'm smiling.

Congrats! So glad to hear the u/s went well and you saw the beautiful heartbeat!

I was also sad to leave the RE, but there's a time to move on, and the time is NOW!!! Yeah!!!

Best of luck with EVERYTHING!

Hi Kim,

So happy to hear that everything is going so well. Hope you are getting lots of rest and spending lots of "Quality time" on the couch. Just you and your belly bean. Enjoy every minute of it.

Its a bittersweet thing to be released from your RE. I was emotional. I didnt want to be let go yet it was a milestone. And here I was now all left alone to "BE" pregnant all by myself. I felt so vulnerable.

Its good though to have an extra u/s to look forward to. I have my 18 week u/s on Monday and I am worried, anxious and excited. I havent had one since 8 weeks. I need to know if there is still a baby in there.

Love and best wishes

Grainne

Yes, I did have another u/s last Monday and everything's good.
I'm going again on Wednesday.

Ugh, I've been pretty nauseous. I used to pray for some nausea, ya know? It is reassuring, but no fun!

Ellen, yes, I did do accupuncture this time, but not with my failed fresh DE cycle. I also did it with my 4th and 5th IVF's. Didn't do it with my 6th. I just don't enjoy it at all, but went back to it this time to try to give it "my all".

Good Luck to everyone!
