We are looking into adopting a biracial child or AA child. Does anyone have any suggestions on adoption agencies that you had success with?
Thanks

Both of our children are bi-racial, and we adopted through Bethany Christian Services.
Hope this helps!

There are a lot of great agencies for AA/BI children. We adopted through Family Creations in Bradenton, FL, and they were fantastic, although they only do about 10-15 domestic adoptions each year. A Bond of Love (Indiana) is good. Heaven Sent adopt (Sheila Davis) in Michigan is also good (she's a facilitator, but an EXCELLENT one). PM me if you want more info....

There is a wonderful one in Oakland Calif. the name escapes me right now. we were going to go with them, but were offered another placement. I'll look and see if I can find the name again.

My friend suggests:wish upon a stork (facilitation service) matched us with Kirsh and Kirsh in Indiana. I was pleased with both of them.
Our dd is biracial and we too used a facilitator. PM me if you want more info about facilitators.

Hi, I adopted through a small, non-profit agency in Oregon. It's called Plan Loving Adoptions Now and has a website if you wanted to get more information about their services. I was very happy working with them before, during and after my adoption of my beautiful AA daughter 4 years ago. They have a specific program for minority infant adoptions.

We used adoptlink in California, which is a facilitator. They have a lot of situations ( especially AA and biracial) and we were matched very quickly. Lil Snee who runs it is very experienced and caring. The website is

Good luck

If you live in FL our attorney has such situations and looking for families. Please PM me and I would be happy to forward you her information. She does not do out of state adoptions due to all the extra paperwork and legality.

Transracial adoption
The organization in Oakland which is refered to below is Pact: An Adoption Alliance (www.pactadopt.org) which focuses completely on finding families for children of color.
A Bond of Love in Indiana, mentioned below, is not a licensed agency. It is a facilitator. Big difference!
It is always smart to begin to look for a sources in your own city--or at least in your own state, since adopting across state lines always adds to the costs and the complications. There are agencies (and adoption attorneys) in every state looking for homes for children of color. In fact, Kirsh and Kirsh (the adoption attorney firm mentioned below) has placed many children of color in The Netherlands, because they thought (inaccurately) that there were not enough Indiana families for these children.
