About LinkBacksJust need to ventMy aunt told my cousin the other day that it was crazy for us to adopt because God would give us our baby when He was ready. And that instead of spending the money we spent for an adoption we should be helping others!!! I couldn't believe those words could come from anyone's mouth, much less my own aunt. I didn't get to talk to her but I feel like telling her that God did give us babies when He was ready, He just gave us them through the miracle of adoption!!!! Plus, we are helping others--we are helping these two wonderful boys we have to have the life that they never would have had, and we are helping their birthmothers! Plus, we are very giving people in all aspects of our lives!! This comment was made about a week ago and I told my husband it didn't bother me, because my aunt is crazy anyway, but it has been on my mind since then, and I just needed to get it off my chest. Thanks for listening!!!!

I'm so sorry that your aunt is so insensitive. My friend just adopted & the comment to her is..."maybe next time you'll be lucky & have a baby of your own." Like what's that??? Some people! Grrrr!

Yes, some people are clueless.
God has given you your intended children--through adoption! It wasn't until we adopted our son that I finally came to peace with the insanity of infertility. The "Why me?" was finally answered. Our son was destined to be with us, just like your children were meant to be with you.
