About LinkBacksJust wanted to let everyone know that we have adopted our second son. He was born 7/31/2005. We met him when he was 24 hours old and I stayed with him in the hopsital with his birthmom that night and then took him "home" on 8/2/2005. We are still waiting on ICPC to clear but are able to stay in our lawyers home in Kansas. His wife is an adoption social worker who worked with the birthmom and he is the lawyer who handles the legal end. They have such an awesome ministry!!! They have a beautiful 9,000 sq ft home that they allow adoptive couples from out of state to stay in while waiting on ICPC. It has been absolutely perfect!!! Back to our son. He was born on my father-in-laws birthday so his middle name is after him. Zachary Steven is such a blessing to have in our lives. After the two failed placements earlier in the year we were beginning to think it would never happen. But, as everyone here said when your little one is in your arms it makes everything worth it!!! Our almost 4 year old is so excited to be a big brother. We also found out that he understands alot more about his adoption then we ever gave him credit for. While I was at the hospital with Zachary my husband was talking to Paul about what was going on and our little guy told his Daddy all about his own adoption and that there was a lady that loved him soo much that she gave him to us and now another lady was giving us his baby brother. We have told him so many times about the special couple that gave him to us to raise and just thought he didn't understand, it's nice to know he does! Now I am rambling. It is so awesome to have two boys and life could not get any better!!! I am still praying for all of you who are still looking for your child, it is all worth it in the end!!! By the way Zach was 7lbs 2oz, 18.5 inches long and perfectly healthy. I will try to figure out how to post pics soon.
