New here pending adoptoin mentioned
Hi everyone how are you? My DH and I struggled with IF for a while but then decided to stop that and persue adoption after I got my my masters. Well I am still in school but my brothers SIL called at the end of January about a friend wanting to give a baby up for a closed private adoption and she wanted to talk with us. I told her to have her call we would love to visit with her. Well she called a few days later and we talked for hours and never mentioned the baby we just talked about how we grew up and our values. I talked about my husband and she talked about her grandparents who are raising her. Well we got off the phone and I felt kind of like I had a new friend. She called again about a week later and asked if I was interested in knowing my new babys due date and the gender. I practically yelled in her ears YES

Welcome to the adoption boards! Sounds like an interesting potential situation. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this works out for you. Ask if you have any questions. There are a lot of helpful ladies here. ![]() Loreen

Yes the BM say's she definitely wants us to have the baby. I know there is a chance she can change her mind. But we are moving forward. We have all the pw set up with the lawyer and we are waiting on our home study. I am in Midland Texas.
