Ok, here it is! Pink and beige dress

I just finished this last night at 11:45. I got a little more adventurous on this dress with a lot of details. I made short puff sleeves. The collar was draped from the front, around the neck and then came back to meet in the front. It is gathered at the shoulder seams and softly hand pleated at the front. The waistband is gathered all the way around. There are two rows of decorative pink stitching along the hmeline. The fabric is a stretch jersey knit so the dress just slips on over the head.

8 years of Primary IF, IUI x5, IVF x3, donor embryo x2, DIUI x2, 3 losses, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I envy that you can see beige and envision a dress out of it. I look at beige and think on my bra. I lack that *eye* or something. lol! I tried working with white on white on white for one of my quilts and not even half way through I think I went temporarily blind and insane bc my eyes kept whiteouting on me and my mind became numbd from all the white work. needless to say... somewhere in the heap of my unfinished quilts there is a white on white on white quilt that calls to be completed...

    you are so talented!!

I have all of these solid cotton lycra jersey fabrics. They don't really offer much in the way of prints so I have to get creative with color combinations. I like to have several neutrals on hand (black, gray, beige, brown, white) and then a bunch of colors. I have them all folded and stacked. Every now and then I will shuffle the stacks around and see two colors next to each other that I hadn't considered putting together before and VOILA!

And I would never think of ruching this and lowering that, etc, to add interest. I love learning how you do this.
