    Happy Belated Birthday, Arianna!

    Such cute pics from everyone!

You gals are making me think that maybe I should look into the 3D/4D ultrasound. What is the best time to get one of these done? Earlier in pregnancy (20something weeks) or later (30something weeks)?

Faithful, I was told that between 27 and 32 weeks is optimal, the baby has enough fat to be able to see features but is still small enough to not be squished so you can't see. I wasn't originally sure about doing the 3D because of the expense ($125), but I am glad that I did. The techs were all so sweet and explained everything on the screen. They were also willing to check my fluid levels and measure my cervix since they were there anyway! I wish I could afford to do it more, but I am glad I got it done. That's my two cents anyway!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The company I'm scheduling my 3D/4D ultrasound with says 26-32 weeks is optimal. We're aiming for 29 weeks. This place actually comes TO your house and I'm so excited the kids will get to see their baby sister in utero. We've never had a 3D u/s with any other pregnancy and since this is our last, dh was totally on board with having it done. Plus, I need another u/s confirmation on the gender to make sure all my shopping isn't in vain!

This is the package we're doing:

    Seasonal Special 100.00 (Best Value)
    Great for a Baby Shower!
    30 Minute 3D/4D Ultrasound Session
10 Black and White 2d/3d Pictures
    5 Colorized 3d Pictures

CD or Flash Drive containing every Color/Black and white picture that can be captured through the entire Session! Usually about 30-60 different High Resolution pictures. Perfect for emailing or printing more for your family, friends, and/or yourself! Great for printing for your baby shower invites!

    Gender Determination/Verification (Upon request)

Dana - thanks for asking, it has been getting a bit harder, I take my insulin injections 4x a day now. All of a sudden I started building a resistance to the one I was taking 3x day so now they added another type to the mix. I still have no appetite so not eating right is making my diabetes even harder to manage. At times it makes me real worried and depressed that I am not doing the best for my LO but I am trying. My blood pressure has been under control so that is good. How are you feeling??

Queen, I'm feeling fine thank you. Just rather handicapped with the carpal tunnel as the 'burned skin feeling' has now extended all the way to my wrists.

Are you allowed to drink protein powder drinks? If you go to the health food store (and possibly other places) there are a few brands that are not sweet. Perhaps also try greens powders (that are safe for pregnant/breastfeeding women). These would not give you lots of calories, but they would really help your ds grow. Perhaps the protein would help prevent (sorry I forget the term, but ketones or something, develop in you.)

Please ignore this if you have already tried/researched doing this. My blood pressure is good too.

Actually the peri says my 'carpal tunnel' is mild edema, so definitely don't want that to develop.

Can't say I have much of an appetite in the hot day either. Get really hungry around 10:00 pm.

Instead of expecting yourself to eat 'normally', how about if you cut up tiny pieces of nutricious food and eat a handful every hour or two? Enough to alleviate the worry and depression anyway.

Forgive me for offering advice if all you wanted was hugs. Here are some extra hugs: (((())))
