    TamiLynn and TiphieJade,
Unfortunately, I will not be switching to Heparin. They ONLY prescribe it if patients have had prior losses in the 2nd or 3rd term. Yes, it makes me nervous. But I did not take Lovenox at ALL with my two term pregnancies.

    VQ,
thank you. when I lay on my stomach at the chiropractor's this afternoon, I definitely felt a hard lump where the babies are, so I'm taking that little bit of reassurance to my heart too.

The baby I lost would have had health problems incompatible with life, so it was necessary. Just so hard to see and go through. I felt a bit less whoozy (sp?) yesterday and today and have totally overdone it. Man, you think at my age, I would have this figured out????Yikes! LOL

    GMT,
Thank you for the fun eye colour determinator. Mine was 100% blue. Of course, I picked the DE and DS, so planned for this! VERY excited! I love blue eyes and have gorgeous blue eyes on both sides of my family. (mine are green/brown/hazel) I chose a sperm donor who had blue eyes with everyone except his mom--green. My eldest has my eye colour and my youngest has chocolate brown eyes. So much for that! LOL Of course, who knows what shade of blue they will be, because I've only seen the ED's eyes in colour.

    GMT,
I agree that was crappy bedside manner on your OB's part about your weight gain. I was attempting to eat 4,000 to 5,000 calories a day in my first trimester, according to Dr. Barbara Luke's book for twins, triplets and more. Now, I can bump it down to 3,500 a day. She has proven stats of better live birth weights and fewer health complications for multiples that followed their guidelines. I'm thinking my extra 20 lbs I had before transfer should be enough to give the extra my babies will need. LOL

    Arianna,
Again you've shared how sweet your DH is! He must love you very much. I LOVE seeing pictures of Dad's with their little ones, or special things they do. Thank you.

Dino - I stopped progesterone at 9 weeks per RE's recommendation. I think I stopped earlier than most people in our April cycle group...

jdavis Can't believe you bought a minivan! You go girl! We've thought about it, but that's about as far as we've gotten.

Dana - It's always scary to go off a med that has brought success thus far, but these REs must have some proof. They have seen hundreds or thousands of patients. They would not choose to put you in jeopardy now after all this.

smileygirl Wow, you are running a lot. I am taking it easy and only walking 30 minutes plus light weights for the upper body. My OB strongly discouraged kickboxing, step, dance classes or anything really intense. I feel like a wimp, but I'll do what I can to protect the babies. I know what you mean about wanting to stay in shape, but at this point I've chosen to follow the doctor's advice. What is your doctor saying about exercise?

    TiphieJade - Welcome!

    AFM - Maybe TMI...
I threw up for the first time today (since I got pregnant). I am almost 14 weeks. The only thing I could think of is that I took 5 vitamins on an empty stomach and started eating a banana about 10 minutes later. I was supposed to meet my mom for breakfast after I dropped my car off at the auto repair shop so I was just going to snack on this banana. I was eating the last bite of the banana, and I vomited while driving on the freeway. I tried to dump it in the cupholder as I was driving but it was nasty! Had to cross several lanes to pull over. And then my car reeked even after cleaning it. I was embarrassed to bring it into the car repair place.

I did manage to eat breakfast with my mom no problem. I never knew taking vitamins on an empty stomach could cause one to throw up. I am feeling for those of you who suffered through morning sickness. Yuck. Hopefully most of you are over it now.

I've been running for 8 months now and completed a half marathon in January before getting pregnant. I was training pretty intensely for that but have backed off a lot since then since I don't have any race plans on the horizon, obviously. My OB is completely fine with me running, just said no high impact or jarring activities. After I run, I can definitely feel it in my pelvis and in previous pregnancies, I've had severe pain in my pubic bone so I wonder if I'm just bringing that on early. I've never exercised through a pregnancy, but I know that it's really supposed to help with recovery and I know it's gonna be a looooooong time after I give birth (c-section + breastfeeing) before I'll feel up to running again so I want to keep it up as long as I can!

Dana, I'm a bit confused..... So were you originally pregnant with triplets then? And there are two viable now? Or did you start with twins and are down to one? At any rate, I hope that things go smoothly for you from here on out.

Oh, Dana, I'm so sorry! Let's just put all our hope and love into your other babies. I think if your doc is so positive, we should be just as positive, I have a very good feeling for you.

GMT- super good advice about planning meals ahead of time, and freezing! I should do that, like, now. And yeah, I was thinking mom's could be on cooking and maybe a little cleaning detail, especially b/c I'll be home for the first 3 months to do all the feedings, changings, etc. Your advice is always to invaluable to me! Oh, would love to take you up on the nursing pillow!

TamiLynn- so exciting! Love the names you picked out! Gosh, just saw your next post, sorry about the scare! But I'm so glad everything is well, and it was just that pesky clot.

EllaDuChien- great news about your screening!

Arianna- I'm gonna cave and buy some maternity pants this weekend too. I keep lowering my zippers more and more and it's probably not good for my staff to see my panties... And can't wait to hear how Saturday goes!

jdavis18- so glad to hear you're getting better. And seeing any guy cleaning a floor would make me cry too!

smileygirl- I feel your pain, I have headaches 6 out of 7 full days a week. At 14 weeks now and thought it would be gone by now... I hope yours get better soon!

Queen, I agree, dump that doc! He needs to show a little encouragement and sensitivity. So many people in my family have diabetes, it is incredibly hard to manage. He probably has no clue about this.... I hope you find someone who deserves to have you for a patient!

AFM- had a resurgence of m/s and heartburn, which is why I've been MIA. Isn't this supposed to settle down by 14 weeks? But besides that, I do have some good days and I hope those become more frequent! Right now we're planning a trip to Spain for 2 weeks, that starts in about 3 weeks. I'm so excited to get away from the stress of work, but I'm also a little anxious about traveling while pregnant. Afraid I'll be super sick on the plane and won't be able to knock myself out with drugs. Anyone have experience with long distance flights while pregnancy? And does anyone know how often you're supposed to get up and walk around to prevent clots? My doc is so laid back about this stuff and sometimes I just want someone to tell me exactly what to do!

OK, gotta run, feeling crappy again. Hope you all are having wonderful weeks and my oh my, aren't we thankful the weekend is here?!

smileygirl - Since this is not your first pregnancy, you probably know what your body can handle better than any first-timer. Also, since your OB is saying running is okay, my vote would be to go for it

PageInChiTown - Spain! What a great babymoon! Hopefully your m/s and heartburn resolves by then.

Level 2 u/s today. Loved seeing all the baby parts on the screen. Saw 4 chambers of the heart, 2 hemispheres of the brain, 2 kidneys already producing, 10 fingers, 10 toes, everything looked fantastic!!! Measuring right on track for 18w and.....its a GIRL!!!!

I am so excited. Of course I would have been excited to have a boy too, but I was secretly hoping for a girl! Only bad part of the whole thing was the doctor telling me that I will probably not have any more u/s since everything is normal. While I am THRILLED that I don't have to see the MFMS anymore, 22 weeks is a long time to go without seeing the bean! Still, couldn't be happier!

Hugs and Have a Great Weekend!!

Congratulations Ella! Soon you will be feeling your daughter and that feels more intimate and reassuring than u/s. It's the part of pregnancy I always missed when it was over as it is a special relationship only y ou and your baby(ies) will have.
