For the last few weeks, we have not been as diligent about making sure every bath toy is squeezed out every night...and I decided to clean them. OMG! At first they seemed fine but I saw a little bit of darkness around the opening of 2 of them so I kept sucking up hot, hot water shaking them and squeezing them out. On some of them it was until the 5th or 6th time that TONS of slimy black started coming out.
I am not even sure that our squeezing them out each night was enough.
I threw them all out, that's how disgusting it was. Not worth it at all. So are there bath toys with no holes?
Oh, have you heard the news stories about how very, very unsafe cough syrup is for children? Even older kids like 6-8? Their livers can't metabolize a certain chemical and it has led to death in some cases.

I don't even buy bath toys that can get water in them anymore. They get so freaking gross!

BTDT! I learned my lesson with Savannah when she was little and I discovered the gross slime. I have tried to avoid bath toys with holes this time around, we have ended up with a few, but I dont keep them long. Both kids seemed pretty happy with things like cups and solid plastic animals.
