Time Out

Papa is in the other room trying to give Renzo a time out for not listening. Renzo is giggling. I think time out is not supposed to be fun, but Renzo is having a blast!

now I am giggling too.

ha-ha! I bet papa isn't giggling!

We found that if we put Brynn in a chair or on a stool or on the step that she LOVED time out. And of course, being the horribly mean parents that we are, we had to find a spot that she didn't like so much. LOL. We found that putting her on the floor wasn't as fun. But the other day she had a blast with daddy - he kept putting her in t/o and she kept laughing and crawling away. 20 minutes later she finally sat for her 2 little minutes. I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard whereas daddy wasn't amused at all. LOL!

Yes, timeouts are now officially not working. Renzo is just in a giggling phase. He giggles over everything..t/o's included. I am glad that he cracks himself up so much. (he gets that from me)

So he has learned to win his battles with laughter....smart kid!

With Eden I am acutally finding it much more effective to give a t/o to one of her favorite toys. She was way more impressed by that than a time out on the stairs (Who knows why?). Now all I do is threaten to give polar bear a time out and she complies real quickly. That never would have worked with Savannah though!

That's an interesting idea. I'll have to see if the opportunity arises to try it. Renzo now will do something and as we no and come running and yelling No, No...he just does it faster. banging the keys on the laptop, spilling powdered ginger on the kitchen floor, pouring anything liquid. Beastie boy!
