    Nightmares? Night Terrors?

For the last few nites, Lucia has been waking up at 10:10pm-10:20pm with huge cry and sounding utterly scared/inconsolable. On two occasions, she has even thrown up.
We have let her sleep with us a few times, but most nights she gets rocked back to sleep. I'm wondering if these are 'night terrors' or nightmares that she may be experiencing? The vomiting made me wonder if she has acid reflux or something? Is she manipulating us to try and get in our bed to sleep with us? I'm at a loss as to what this could be. Anyone else ever experience anything like this with their LO?! Help!

Hmm..not sure..Do you think she throws up because she is so upset? Poor girl. What time does she go to bed? Could you stop food or drink at least an hour before and/or try to prop her up in the crib/bed to see if that helps? I am pretty sure they make a children's maalox (not sure what age it is recommended for) but if you think it is is reflux maybe you could look it to that.

My niece had really bad night terrors. She would cry unconsolably and her eyes would be open, but my sister knew she wasn't really awake. They finally figured out that often she had to go potty but wasn't awake enough to go herself. If my sisteri could direct her to the potty chair and help her to sit on it, my niece would "go" and then calmly go back to sleep. I think that they lasted on and off for a few years.

This has been happening to Olivia. Once we figured out that she just needed to go potty it has made a huge difference. So if she wakes up crying we put her on the potty let her do her business and then she goes right back to sleep.
