Naps and sleeping issues?

I am just curious how naps are going for everyone. Olivia is down to one nap a day. She was napping for 2-3 hours. Now I am lucky if she sleeps for an hour. She wakes up at 6:30am and her nap is around 11. I am wondering if I should make her nap latter in the day, but then I worry that she won't go to bed if her nap is later.

She has not been sleeping well at night either. She goes to bed between 6:30 and 7 but then wakes up about 2 am and ends up sleeping with us for the rest of the night. I am starting to think that perhaps her bed is uncomfortable and maybe we need to move her to a twin. She is still in her toddler bed with her crib mattress.

Any thoughts?

Evan is down to one nap also, once in a blue moon on the weekend i can get him to take 2, but very rarely. But it is usually 1 nap for about 2 hrs.

I would try to put her down for a nap a bit later. Maybe 12-12:30, it may make her more tired, thus making her sleep a bit longer.

No advice on the bed for her... ??? Sorry...

leeanne, i was having the same issue with michael until recently. He would not nap! he would go days without one and would just fight me on it when I tried to get him to take one. I only resolved the problem by giving him a later naptime, now 1 or 1:30, instead of his usual 12 oclock he was taking. I am surprised at how much an hour difference makes.I hate that is later because it has caused his bedtime to be later, but he goes down quickly and sleeps 2 hours sometimes longer and without the nap he is really cranky around dinner time. maybe try a bit later and see how it goes, maybe it wont affect her usual bedtime. good luck let us know how things go.

Syd usually goes down for her nap between 12 and 12:30 and takes a decent nap, unless of course she somehow gets a short power nap in at some point during the day. She gets up by 7 after going down for the night at about 8. On Wednesday night she woke up at about 1 or so and wouldn't go back to sleep until about 4. I sooooo feel you on the sleep thing. They can be such little bears without their sleep!
