The head of CIA, Panetta is wayyyyyyyy off base with this one...Can you imagine the liberal out cry if a conservative said the VPOTUS WANTS the USA to be attacked again???? OMG the gyrations, the gobsmackedness, the intensity of the calls for his job, the moral outrage etc... would be off the charts. OFF.THE.CHARTS. instead.....what do we hear??? Crickets...... the media gives another liberal another pass.... ah me..what is new????

As for CIA chief??? what a buffoon

http://www.kwqc.com/Global/story.asp?S=10530402

WASHINGTON (AP) - CIA Director Leon Panetta says former Vice President **** Cheney's criticism of the Obama administration's approach to terrorism almost suggests "he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."

Panetta tells The New Yorker that Cheney "smells some blood in the water" on the issue of national security.

Cheney has said he thinks President Barack Obama is making the U.S. less safe. He's been critical of Obama for ordering Guantanamo's closure, halting enhanced interrogations and reversing other initiatives that he claims helped prevent attacks on the U.S.

Panetta says of Cheney's remarks: "It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics."

Asked if he agrees with Panetta, Vice President Joe Biden tells NBC he wouldn't question the motive behind Cheney's criticism. But he says he thinks Cheney's judgment about how to secure America is "faulty" Biden added "I think our judgment is correct."

The article quoting Panetta appears in the June 22 issue of The New Yorker.

Hell, A blind man with a deaf dog with no nose and complete loss of olfactory skills could smell blood in the water. Our own VP told us pre election to Gird our loins as an attack could occur....I, ROBINE MYSELF, think another attack WILL occur.. ROBINE thinks BO is making the US less safe... ...... ....Does that mean I WISH it to occurr????? Panetta needs to check himself..this type of reckless accusation and strong focus on a man no longer in any position of power is scary..I can see the illegal use of govt computers coming towards anyone who speaks out against this regime we now suffer under.... WHY is Panetta giving a **** WHAT Cheney thinks? AND why is he putting words in his mouth????? Can any one anywhere find me ANYTHING said or written by Cheney that says he WISHES the USA is attacked again????

This regime is doing **** to step across the aisle..they are making ANYONE who disagrees with them out to be villians and enemies of the state..

Panetta is a nuthatch

I feel the same way Robine. I think Cheney is doing what he feels necessary to try to get some heads out of arses so that we won't be attacked. But the course we are going right now is very dangerous. Panetta is a loon.

Robine, I totally agree with you! Cheney is obviously worried. Honestly, I have heard more from Cheney now then I ever remember hearing from him during his time as VP. He is in the news more, he is pushing to keep our country safe. And King Obama, his Lords/Czars, and their supporters will do anything to make Cheney look crazy.

See, it discredits Cheney, and it distracts from all the insidious things the King is doing. I honestly expect this will continue for some time.

You are hearing from him more direcly now because he can no longer speak through Bush's bully puppet - I mean pulpit.

As to the whole "gosh wouldn't another attack help us Republicans - don't you remember McCain's top advisor saying exactly that?

NL..... you are missing the point or chosing to ignore it..the question was WHY does the media give Panetta a pass for making sh i t up that Cheney NEVER said>????? where is the liberal mock outrage that a LIE has been said about a former VPOTUS...If this were a rep saying this heinous outright lie that a liberal supposedly said, the libs would have their panties so wadded ( and I know we both go commando, so present company excused) that the media firestorm would be unreal..yet, the state run media says, nada, nunca nunca do they ever call "HORSE MANURE" on an out of control lib..

THAT is the point...the heinous out and out BS lie by a handpicked Obamabot

robine, why the media chooses to focus on what it chooses to focus is a mystery to me. For instance, the last few days the dust up between Letterman and Palin re his joke about her daughter getting 'knocked up' has been all over the news with people calling him to task, saying it was inappropriate, insensitive, etc. Then, you have a GOP official in SC saying that a gorilla that escaped from the zoo was "a relative of Michelle's" then he admitted that he was talking about the First Lady but was "just joking". I have only seen a short clip that played on CNN on Huffington Post. I never saw the story repeated on CNN or any other station this weeked and I had the TV on that channel and some others for several hours.

When a woman asked John McCain 'how do we beat the b!tch (referring to Hillary Clinton)?" and he just kinda laughed and answered her that did nto get a lot of play in the news media, but the woman who said Barack Obama was an Arab at one of McCain's campaign rally's was all over the place.

In each of these examples what made one more news worthly than the other? Even moving out of the realm of politics I read an article some time ago that said if you get kidnapped or go missing in this country you better be a young, white female with blonde hair if you want the national media to pick it up.

Of course you can see bias in a lot of places, but I think this is a non starter.

I did not deny anything, I said why the media chooses to focus on what it focuses is a mystery. I heard of the Panetta/chaney story as well. Politico had it on it's front page. I heard it on POTUS on my XM radio on the way to work this morning. A quick Bing search shows ABC and Rueters on the 1st page. Joe Biden was asked a question about the issue on Meet the Press on Sunday. I did not watch the other shows yet (theyare on my Tivo) so I do not know what they said.

So is there a liberal media bias just because you said so? You may want to expand the new media that you read/watch if you are not hearing this story.

umm.. I did hear it...that is why I am writing about it...What am I missing here???

I listen to liberal radio( good for some laughs) and a few mins of either Mark Levine, rush or BOR at times..I read the Washington post and Times on line, watch CNN, Fox and What I affectionately call MSLSD...I get over to the Huffington post at times...I scour both lib and con boards for links...I would dare to say that I am getting the news from a variety of sources
