If The World Could Vote on The U.S. President

This is an interesting little site. All of the world is currently watching to see who the next U.S. president will be. Obviously some countries have an agenda and have preferences. Other countries are just in it to watch the fallout.

Check out the world opinion.

Who is behind the site?

Just three guys from Iceland. The site is independent from all political

parties, companies or hidden agendas. It's just an idea a 22 year old

guy in Iceland came up with and executed with a little help from a

couple of friends.

Why are you doing this?

Just out of curiosity. The president of the United States is a powerful

man, probably the most powerful person on the planet. So everyone seems

to have an opinion on who should be the next president of the United

States. We thought it would be interesting to see who would be the next president

if the whole world could vote. It's also a challenge to try to beat the

number of voters in the last US elections. So spread the news.

Vote and then check out the results.

P.S. This isn't up for bashing. It's just an interesting little thing that came across my email today. I found it interesting that it actually gives a split on countries and how they voted.

They just want us to lose our spot as superpower #1.

Well, I'm not sure about that.

I found it fascinating because just days ago, the President of France came out totally villefying Obama. He stated Obama wasn't strong enough to lead the U.S. yet the people of France would vote almost 80% for him.

Interesting how leaders and people diverge.

I doubt that. They want us to treat them with respect, and not run act like an arrogant bully trying to run the world.

I find this pretty cool, even though I am sure it isn't totally accurate. I wonder why Macedonia is so high for McCain... Venezuala is pretty high. Oil?

interesting little site. Taken just at face value, Iraq is pretty much split down the middle, but IRan is pro O. Wonder why?

If the world could vote for the US president, the world would get someone they could control and manipulate. America would become a has been and would be the target of massive exploitation.

Anyone seriously considering the prospect is a fool.

Then again, the current administration is pretty much laughed at around the world, too.

I think it is really interesting. What it makes me wonder, beyond anything else, is how the press in these countries is handling our election. My guess would be that since Bush has gotten beaten up by foreign press (not all without reason) that the press is continuing to bash Republicans.

Anyone living abroad care to chime in on this?
