Mitt Romney and Social Security

OK. I can look past the Romney helmet and like the guy for his tax platform alone. However, why is it I can scour his web site and not find his ideas for handling the Social Security clusterfork?

All I can find is that he opposes raising Social Security taxes, and I found a second party saying that Romney supports some level of privatization.

It strikes me as either evasive or supremely stupid not to put forth and include visibly among your platform statements an idea for dealing with Social Security. I'll go with evasive, and that makes me really question his trustworthiness. Not like I really have much trust in any of 'em, though.

I hate politicians. Just a bunch of motherhuckabees. (Say it out loud. You know you want to...)

Actually, I meant clusterhuckabees.

The cold air up here is freezing off my brain cells. (Why can't the cold air attack my ass instead?)

I'll take your cold air. It's 59 degrees here right now. Ridiculous. I personally want winter to stay at 25 degrees with the ground frozen. We started the day with frozen ground, it warmed up to 59 and we have had two inches of rain. Nice, really nice. The mud will suck your boots right off your feet. Cold front tonight thank you Lord.

I am now forced to find out Romney's stance on SS thanks to TR.

Received mail from our neighbors today- personally funded support of Ron Paul. Appears to have mailed everyone in the neighborhood several brochures. Too bad he is so bad on foreign policy...... because the man makes so much sense on domestic issues-

I love that he's a constitutionalist and has read Ayn Rand. I love that he believes in states' rights. I love his bona fide fiscal conservatism.

But, man, I have serious reservations about his Iraq views.

Not that it matters. Conservatives will be stuck with McCain.

Am I the only one, though, who thinks it's flat-out strange that his OFFICIAL campaign web site doesn't address it at all? Does he think no one cares? Does he think people of my generation don't think about it every huckabeeing day?

Oh he knows, he thinks, he is purposefully vague so as not to lose one single potential voter who might fear the idea of privatization.

Like you said up front, he's being a good huckin' politician.

I love anyone who has read Ayn Rand.

Believe it or not my first gynecologist turned me on to Ayn Rand. I was probably 18 years old. I will never forget discussing Ayn Rand and draft horses nekkid. LOL Later he gave me all his cardiology books- just before I left for vet school.

I went on a date with his son once. I just couldn't imagine myself sitting across the table from his dad at a family dinner..... well that and the son was a complete and total nerd. Even the DeLorean he drove didn't change that.

I haven't heard any of the other politicians running discuss Social Security either. they might have something about it on their websites, but it does not appear to be a hot topic right now. I guess social Security is moot if we are all kneeling to Mecca 5 times a day after a few nuclear bombs go off in our major cities. Or after the economy totally crashes under the insane amount of taxes forced by the never-ending entitlement programs. Or when we have 150 million illegal aliens competing for non-existing jobs.
