What is your favorite Disney animated film?

All this talk of death penalties and such made me think there needed to be a lighthearted non-serious discussion.

Each time we take a road trip, my dds are usually watching our Disney movies. And, I've seen them all a million times it seems.

For the Disney fans.....which one is your favorite animated film and why? And, which one does your family or child(ren) seem to like the best?

I always liked Dumbo. I could still watch that movie over and over.

My favorite Disney character is Donald Duck (love the way he talks)

My boys are still little and havent seen too many Disney films yet, but my 2 yr old likes Nemo.

Jungle Book is my hands down favorite for the music (animation not so great).

Jordan has still not seen many films at all. We really limit his TV/video intake. He did see and loved the original Winnie the Pooh movie, Tigger, and Heffelump. I think the Heffelupm movie was his favorite.

Jungle Book, Jungle Book! "Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, forget about your worries and your strife.."

Let's see. Lion King is awfully good, though I hate that Mufasa dies. I like Pumba and Timon. I like Aristocats. (Thomas O'Malley is Balloo, by the way. And Kaa is Pooh and also Roquefort from Aristocats!)

For non animated, Mary Poppins hands down.

My favorite for many years has been the Jungle Book, but I absolutely LOVE the Heffalump movie. I've seen it probably 6 times?

Matthew has only seen a couple of them. I have them all so I know he'll eventually see them all I'm sure. He too loves the Heffalump movie!

We saw that in the theater, Maddy! I liked it too. And I love the original Winnie the Pooh also.

My favorite Disney animated film is Peter Pan. It was my favorite as a child and it still is today. My second favorite is Alladin. Robin Williams really did a great job as the Genie. And, we had "A Whole New World" sung at my wedding.

My favorite movie for my children to watch is Mulan. While I love Disney movies, there are many that I think advocate children rebelling against their parents (examples: Ariel pursues her prince after her father forbade her to pursue him and Lilo who constantly goes against anything her sister asks of her). In Mulan, they discuss dishonoring your family and she goes to fight in a war to save her father. In many Disney movies, one of the parents is dead or killed. In this movie, there is a complete family including a Grandma. And, its about respecting our elders and family instead of rebelling against them--yes, I know Mulan went to war without her father's knowledge but she did it to protect him not for her own selfish reasons. I find that traditional view refreshing when everything else goes against that.
Of course, Eddie Murphy's humor is always funny too. (I also enjoyed him as the Donkey in Shrek which I know is not a Disney film).

My children seem to vary in their "favorite movie." I think by far they always seem to like Beauty and the Beast.

My girls were stuck on that movie for a while. And, Anna started walking around saying "Rubbish and Poppycock" after hearing the elderly lady say that in the film. It's pretty funny hearing a 3 year old say that.
