Hi Saritabita! I did start my meds today, already messing up.... Both me and my husband are nurses and we managed to screw up Menopur injection. I did not even read directions on how to reconstitute, so i just mixed Menopur and Saline 2 cc that it came with. OOPsss, that was a big SQ injection. Now I am reading all directions! Also, I had only 4 days worth of meds at home, since I was not sure if we are starting a cycle. On Monday, I ordered the rest of my meds, and Gonal F is not in the order.... Hopefully, I can straighten it out in time.
How are your injections going? Any side effects? Any progress on follicles?

Haaaa! I've done that! It's hilarious that you are both nurses. I have the mental picture. Did you use Freedom? If you tell them you need a rush order, they can usually get it to you over night. Also, just in case... the one fertility pharmacy in the DMV (Prosperity Pharmacy) is in Fairfax near route 50 and Gallows Rd. I have had to make a couple of last minute trips to them. Once, I had the wrong trigger and didn't realize it until the last minute! Can you say panicking?!!! The second time I ran out of something and it was a Friday so I wouldn't be able to get a package until Monday but they were able to help me . There is a price difference but at the last minute who cares! Talk to your nurse. They are the best resources for everything. If they have any in house left over
Monitoring went well but no noticeable movement yet. I am a slow mover. Things won't really get going until next week this time. My Estrogen is up though so everybody is happy. No side effects yet. With this protocol, I usually feel okay until after my retrieval and during the 2ww which sucks because it makes you feel like you are pregnant (nausea, watery mouth).Saritabita

How long will you be on stims? Thanks for the info on emergency pharmacy. I have enough meds for the next 3 days. I should get the meds on Friday. Is it prometrium that gives you side effects after retrieval? Do you know when your retrieval date is?

It usually takes me about 15 days. I move really slow in the beginning and at the very end have a huge growth spurt. Don't know why but it takes me a lot to get moving on most protocols. This one has been the shortest. I once stimmed for 20 days! It was crazy... I was crazy! Anyhoo, I think it is the progesterone that gets me all pregnant feeling. Since I move so slow we usually won't know until a day or two before hand when I will go for retrieval but I am expecting somewhere around the 12-14th. You may end up going before I do.

WOw, 20 days! I hope it will be short this time! Maybe I will see you on the 12th. Will you be going to Rockville office for ER?
I think I will respond ok. I made 3 big follicles just on Clomid 100 mg. But my husband has very low counts, so even though I ovulated that ONE time, it did not work. First I was going to columbia fertility and they put me through 4 rounds of Clomid, before realizing, that my husband may have a problem too. I was not happy about that. Clomid gave me horrible hotflashes.
I am going to Annandale office this saturday to check if anything moving.

Maybe! That would be great! Yep, all retrievals, transfers and mock transfers are done in Rockville.
Yeah, that is one of the things that I really like about SG, they try to learn from each cycle so that they don't keep repeating the same mistakes. I had a similar experience with another clinic. Clomid gave me visual disturbances (ripples, I call them) so we stopped that right away. It works for some but not for everybody. Darn, I'll probably be at Annandale on Sunday. My next monitoring appt is tomorrow. Well, I hope we do run into each other. There is a pic on my profile so you know what I look like.Saritabita

How is your cycle going? I had my monitoring this am. 35 follicles, 9 of them measurable. Estrogen in 400s. Nurse said its too high this early in the cycle.... My Gonal F is lowered to 75 units. Hmmm.... Should I be concerned? I hope that my cycle does not get cancelled because of this. I will be at annandale tomorrow! May be I will see you! Good Luck!

Sounds great! I wouldn't be concerned at all. They can usually correct things like that. It has happened at least once during all of my cycles but 35 follies sounds great! You sound like you are responding well. My meds were upped yesterday because my estrogen was only at 98. They usually like to see it double every two days. But as usual, I had about 30 follies on each ovary due to my PCOS. None of them are measuring large enough yet to tell the front runners though. I hope I do see you tomorrow. I will be there at 7:30. I have guests staying at my house tonight so I need to get there and back before everyone gets going. I hope everything goes well tomorrow.

Thanks, You made me feel better! You have a good number too, they just need to start growing! I hope they will grow soon! My appt is at 8:15. I will try to figure out how to post my picture here on the profile.
Am I reading it right? 30 follies on each ovary? WOW!

Yeah, that is part of the PCOS, I get all of these follicles in little sacs all over my ovaries but they don't ever mature (without meds) and trigger ovulation because at the same time my ovaries are producing testosterone so I never ovulate and/or get a period on my own. My case is sort of extreme. Some people with PCOS do ovulate, just not regularly but I don't at all. Thus the IVF... Okay, I will look out for you.
