Morning ladies, hope everyone had a good night and spoiled themseleves!
Question for anyone. I am still constipated, but i also have been getting very bloated again. Feels like it did last week before the retrieval. Very full and uncomfortable. I know they were a bit concerned about OHSS, as my ovaries are big and my estridial was elevated. But at the transfer they didn't seem very concerned and mentioned my ovaries were still enlarged, but there was no fluid. Have any of you had this bloating after the transfer?

Hey Dmags,
Yeah, it actually is sort of a good sign. Pregnancy hormones will cause you to stimulate extra HCG, which will increase your OHSS symptoms in early pregnancy. I would continue stay on top of your proteins and electrolytes but if you are preggers there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. Just don't ignore it and I would tell your nurse too. You don't want it to get out of hand.Saritabita

Thank you saritabita. After I read your post I called the nurse line at my doctors office. The on call RE called me back (whom I have never met). She was not concerned and told me my symptoms are probably more from constipation, than from OHSS. She said I should try a higher dose of colace and use my heating pad and monitor for worsening sx. BUT, she sort of cut me off and did not ask about my cycle or anything. Anyway, I will push fluids, rest and call their office again tomorrow with anything concerning. I don't have a scale, so I am thinking I should go buy one too. Thank you for your continued support!!

Update
Im now officially in the 2ww category. We ended up transferring 2 4AB blast. Since it is my first cycle and the quality was high the RE suggested we only transfer 1. I was persistent that I wanted to transfer two. So my RE asked this question " what would make you more upset, transferring one and not becoming pregnant or transferring two and becoming pregnant with twins?" I thought that was the silliest question Ive heard to date. The reason I've allowed myself to be poked and prodded for weeks is to have a child. So long story short we transferred two. The funny thing is they had to go and get the other embryo b/c they had already determined (of course without me) they were going to do one. So I waited for what seemed like an eternity for them to get another embryo. The best part of the whole procedure was they put the embies on a screen so I could see what they looked like beforehand.
Soooo now I'm at home with my feet up waiting for my DH to prepare lunch. Let's hope it's editable
How's everyone else this beautiful Sunday?
Dmags- I hope your feeling better today.
Saritabita- How are you doing?

Hi MrsJones, welcome to the 2ww. Nice to have someone to wait with. That is interesting what happened prior to the transfer. I don't have enough expereince to comment if that is normal, but the question does seem rather silly! Oh my, and they had to leave the room to go get the second one? You must have been saying to yourself, is there a hidden camera around here. Well, glad the transfer went well overall and you are home resting, being waited on. We also had a screen to watch the transfer. We saw the catheter get threaded in first, then they put the eggs in and there was almost a "flash" of light as they got deposited on the screen. Then everyone took a breath again, including myself.
I am doing better today. Still bloated and constipated, but not as much as yesterday. And I do agree it is constipation, not OHSS. I am pushing fluids and bought lots of fruits and veggies. These hormones really do a number on our bodies. I wonder when women get pregnant naturally if they feel this way?
Mrsjones, when is your first blood test? I opted to not get the 1st day results, just the results 48 hrs later on 4/9 when the beta should be double....I know, people probably think I am crazy for waiting, but I don't want to get my hopes up! I think I can last that long...(think)!
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and taking care of themselves...

Dmags- My first test is on the 13th. Ha... I just noticed, that's a Friday. So my transfer is April fools day and beta is Friday the 13.
lol I hope that's a good sign. I don't think you're crazy for waiting, it's just good to be sure. I saw the same flash and was like " and they're off". Now I'm just nervous. The wait is going to prove to be the toughest part. Sorry to hear your still constipated, hopefully the fruit will start to work soon.

Hello Ladies! Just checkin in! How's everything going? MrsJones, I can't believe your transfer and beta dates! It will make for a great story. My last transfer was on St. Patricks Day. I thought that was a good one too. I think its funny sometimes that we will be able to tell our children exactly when they were conceived and show them pictures of themselves when they were just blastocysts! How many people get that?!
Well today is my day one so I am hoping that my estrogen will be low enough to just go right into an FET cycle. Praying that your 2wws will fly like the wind! Love you all! Have a great day!Saritabita

Hi Saritabita. If you don't mind me asking, what exactly does this next cycle entail for you, I don't know much about it? What type of meds will you be taking?...How many frozen little ones do you have waiting for you?
Mrs Jones, how are you feeling?

Hi Ladies, I am finally moved and unloaded. Just have few more boxes to go through. I love the place. I see blue water from my bedroom and bathroom. We are on the 9th floor, facing the bay, so we have no curtains or blinds, just floor to ceiling windows. I love It!
Saritabita- I am so sorry for your BFN. I am wishing you tons of luck with your FET. You have a great # of embies!
Mrs.Jones- I am glad that your transfer went well. For me Friday 13th, has always been a lucky day. I married on Friday 13th and this May it will be 7 years for us.
For constipation- after my surgery I was very constipated due to all the painkillers that I took. So I was taking colace with senna, and it seemed to work. It was 5 days after transfer.
I am going for my 6 week u/s next tuesday. Hoping for good news! I have been feeling well, no nausea. Just a lot of fatigue, and cramps here and there.
Have a nice week!
